Drinking a little wine and listening to the radio while eating is the greatest enjoyment.
The shed where Lao Lu lives has a small space, less than one person's height.
Lao Lu cooks in the small kitchen of Zhongtianmen freight yard.
Carrying hundreds of pounds of goods up the mountain, you have to rest on the stone platform when you are struggling.
This business costs money to buy shoes, and climbers wear cheap green military shoes or black cloth shoes.

At 7 o'clock every morning, in the "dormitory" of the Zhongtianmen Picking Team in Taishan, 58-year-old Lu Zhengang groped out of the cold bed, took some mountain spring water to wash his face, and continued his work for more than 30 years-picking things from the top of the mountain.
Lv Zhengang is from Zhang Xia Town, Changqing District, Jinan City. When he came to Zhongtianmen in Taishan on 1982 to repair the cableway, he stayed on the mountain and became a mountain bearer. At that time, building at home earned at most 1.3 dollars a day, while being a porter only earned 1.8 dollars a day. For more than 30 years, companions have changed one after another, and unconsciously, Lao Lu has become the longest-lived person.
At 8: 50 am on March 25th, Lu Zhengang set out from the freight yard with a burden of 100 kg. After walking on the mountain road for less than two minutes, he began to gasp. By the time the food was served, sweat had already appeared on Lao Lu's forehead. He took off his coat and wore only a thin sweater, which was in sharp contrast with the tourists wrapped up in the mountain wind at 5℃. "I can't walk. If I am in poor health, I will quit next year. " Lao Lu is thinking.
Zhao Pingjiang, the current captain of Taishan Picking Team, is 63 years old. After working as a mountain miner for a while, he became the captain of the picking team. "There were more than 200 people at the most, and now there are only a dozen people left." Zhao Pingjiang said that Mount Tai, from instant noodles to building materials on the top, could not be separated from the shoulders of mountain pickers. But now the freight ropeway has been built on the mountain, which "robbed" their business, and most of the mountain pickers have turned down the mountain.
Wang Huaiyu, 42, has been in this business for seven years. "From Zhongtianmen to Nantianmen, 100 kg of goods can earn fifty or sixty yuan." Wang Huaiyu said that although he can earn three or four thousand yuan a month, the conditions on the mountain are too bad, and many climbers have cervical spondylosis.
In Zhongtianmen Freight Yard, more than a dozen mountain walkers still live in the stone shed set up by 1984. There are no windows, no doors, no electric lights, and a pile of bedding is cluttered on the bed board. As soon as I walked in, the depression of darkness and narrow space came to my face. Every day except the mountain road, the handyman lives in this small and dark shack. At most, they will stay by the bed and listen to the radio for a while.
The working and living environment is hard, and there are fewer and fewer partners. Zhao Pingjiang began to plan how to continue to inherit the spirit of Dashan people. He contacted some people who were interested in carrying mountain workers and wanted to apply for intangible cultural heritage.
"Sweat is like a spring, strength is like pine and cypress, the sun is on the head, the wind is cold, the turn of spring and summer, the turn of autumn and winter. Youth is dedicated to Mount Tai, and scenery is left to the public. With this spirit, there is nothing unsuccessful. " Many years ago, Yang Xin, a scholar from Peking University, wrote a poem "Ode to the Porter of Mount Tai", which Zhao Pingjiang could recite to everyone word for word.
