Feeding methods of cats

The first thing to pay attention to is never to let the kitten catch cold, otherwise it will easily die.

1. If it is a newborn kitten, be sure to feed it. Kittens can't just drink pure milk, because cats lack enzymes to digest lactose, and they can't digest milk because of lactose intolerance. Drinking milk can lead to diarrhea and indigestion, which is fatal to young cats. Cats had better choose cat milk powder. You can knead nutritional cream, steamed eggs, special milk powder for pets, and soft food for kittens, and mash it and feed it to kittens.

2. It is best to help the kitten defecate every time after drinking milk, that is, every 2 hours or so. If it is a newborn cat, someone needs to manually stimulate the cat to urinate.

The cat's nest should be dry, ventilated, warm, hidden and dimly lit. The paper box or rattan basket can be placed in a hidden place, covered with a soft cotton pad and covered with a small urine pad. It is best to put an electric blanket between the cotton pad and the urine pad, so as to keep the kitten's body temperature and prevent the kitten from catching cold.

4. Older cats can feed cat food and supplement cat milk.

Most kittens are sleeping, so the owner should not disturb them easily except feeding. Cats at this time are very timid.

6. The kitten's body resistance is very poor, so we should pay full attention to the kitten's feeding environment and clean the kitten's nest regularly.

7. Full moon suckling cats can excrete by themselves. At this time, it is necessary to teach suckling cats to use cat litter. If you put a kitten in a litter box, it will usually be used by itself. If you can't use it yourself, put the poop of the kitten in the litter box so that the kitten can smell it and use it later. In addition, it should be noted that many kittens eat cat litter when they first enter the cat litter basin. Parents must stop and dig out the cat litter in the cat's mouth in time.

Tips for cats

1. Kittens are very fragile. At this time, we should pay great attention to the life of cats. The cat won't become strong until the full moon, at which time the owner can rest assured.

2. If you are not allowed to drink special cat milk powder at home, you can make cat milk with the formula of 180ml whole milk (goat milk is better) +2 egg yolks (no protein)+1/2 teaspoons of vegetable oil+1 drop of children's vitamins. This milk should be fully heated and stirred.

3. To ensure the cleanliness of the tableware and utensils of the milk cat, it is best to change the urine pad every day. Tableware used by milk cats is best disinfected with high-temperature boiling water before each use. If there is any milk left by the milk cat, it should be sealed and stored in the refrigerator, and fully heated when eating next time. The maximum storage time should not exceed 24 hours.

Kittens begin to grow teeth in the second week after birth, and can eat some solid food in the third week, and then gradually eat the same food as the mother cat. Generally, you can wean in the sixth week.

If you start with a kitten, you'd better keep more than two at the same time, so that you can find a companion for the cat and the cat will not be lonely in the future.

Some kittens are very alert, even a little neurotic and very upset. Take it easy. In a few days, it may stabilize. On the first night when the lights are turned off, the kitten may feel lonely and start meowing. At this time, cover it with a thicker blanket instead of the warm body temperature of the mother cat. If you can't calm down, move its nest to your bed.

The wrong way to raise a kitten

1. Walk around the house at will. Be very careful when walking around the house, pay attention to opening and closing doors, refrigerators and drawers, and don't step on them or get caught, because kittens like to hide in corners, drawers or some cracks. You might as well put a bell on it, so that you can always know where it is as soon as you call.

2. Leave the kitten alone at home. If it is young and no one is at home during the day, try to keep it in a big cage or enclose a place in the corner, where all the belongings should be, and then let it out when someone is at home, which can reduce some accidents.

In order to save money, kittens are not allowed to be vaccinated. For the sake of cats' health and staying away from diseases, cats should be vaccinated regularly, such as triple vaccine, which is one of the conditions to ensure the healthy growth of cats.

I think cats are very small and should not be educated. Cats should be educated from childhood. When they do something wrong, they should be punished appropriately. For example, if a kitten urinates everywhere and does not change after education, we can punish it by appropriately reducing the amount of food it eats.
