When Zhang Baowen was 9 years old, he joined the Wushu team in Luzhou, Sichuan. A year later, because of his good performance, he was selected by the coach of Sichuan Wushu Team and joined the provincial team. In the Wushu team, Zhang Baowen is good at fencing, long boxing, guns, double swords, gossip and sparring. 1997 10, Zhang Baowen participated in the 8th National Games and won the bronze medal in Wushu.
During his time in the Wushu team, Zhang Baowen was selected as a stand-in by The Legend of Heaven. Although there is no straight face, this "role" makes Zhang Baowen like acting. After working as a stuntman for a year, Zhang Baowen found the feeling of acting in taiwanese drama and decided not to be a stuntman.
