1. Save your own presentation as a template.
If we often need to make presentations with similar styles and layouts, we can make one of them first, then save it as a template, and then directly call for modification.
① After the presentation, execute the "File → Save As" command to open the "Save As" dialog box (as shown in Figure A).

2. Call the template
① Start PowerPoint2002, execute the "File → New" command, and expand the "New Presentation" task pane (as shown in Figure B).
② Click the "Universal Template" option to open the "Template" dialog box (as shown in Figure C), select the required template and click "OK".
(3) According to the needs of making presentations, modify and set the corresponding slides in the template, and then save them, so as to quickly make presentations with similar styles to the template.

Second, the use of the owner
The so-called "master" is a special slide, which contains placeholders such as slide text and footer (such as date, time and slide number). These placeholders control the layout elements of the slide, such as font, font size, color (including background color), shadow and bullet style.
Masterpieces usually include slide master, title master, lecture master and note master. Next, let's take a look at the establishment and use of two main masters: slide master and title master.
1. Create a slide master
Slide masters are often used to unify the slide format of the entire presentation. Once the slide master is modified, all slide formats created by the master will also change, thus quickly unifying the formats of the presentation and other elements.
① Start Powerpoint2002 and create or open a presentation.
② Execute the command "View → Master → Slide Master" to enter the "Slide Master View" state, and the "Slide Master View" toolbar will also expand.
③ Right-click the character "Click here to edit the main title style", and select the font option in the pop-up shortcut menu to open the font dialog box (as shown in Figure E). Set the corresponding options and click OK to return.
④ Then right-click "Click here to edit the main text style" and the following "Level 2 and Level 3" characters respectively, and set relevant formats according to Step 3 above.
⑤ Select characters such as "Click here to edit the main text style", "Level 2" and "Level 3" respectively, execute the command "Format → Bullets and Numbers", open the Bullets and Numbers dialog box, set the bullet style, and then confirm to quit, so as to set different bullet styles for the corresponding content.
⑥ Execute the "View → Header and Footer" command, open the "Header and Footer" dialog box (as shown in Figure F), switch to the "Slides" tab, and format the date area, footer area and number area.
⑦ Execute the "Insert → Picture → From File" command, open the "Insert Picture" dialog box, locate the folder where the pictures prepared in advance are located, select the pictures to insert into the master, and locate them in the appropriate position.
⑧ After all modifications are completed, click Rename Template on the slide master view toolbar to open the Rename Template dialog box (as shown in Figure G), enter a name (such as the presentation master), and click Rename to return.

2. Create a title master.
As mentioned earlier, the first slide in a presentation usually uses the title slide layout. Now let's create a title master for this relatively independent slide to highlight the title of the presentation.
① In the slide master view state, press the Insert New Title Master button on the slide master view toolbar to enter the title master state.
(2) According to the operation of "Creating Slide Master" above, set the relevant format of "Title Master".
(3) after the setting is completed, exit the slide master view.
[Note]: After the master is modified, if it is a new document, please follow the above operation and save the current presentation as a template ("Presentation master". Pot ") for future reference when creating presentations; If it is an open presentation that has been made, you can apply it to related slides by imitating the following operations.
【 Tip 】 If you want to use multiple different masters for a presentation, you can press the "Insert New Slide Master" and "Insert New Title Master" buttons on the toolbar in the "Slide Master View" state to create a pair of new masters (at this time, a pair of master thumbnails are added in the outline area, as shown in Figure 1), edit and modify them as above, and rename them.
3, the master's application
After the master control is established, we will apply it to the demonstration.
① Start PowerPoint2002 to create or open a presentation. And execute the command "view → task pane" to expand the task pane.
② Press the drop-down button in the upper right corner of the task pane, and select the slide design-design template option in the subsequent drop-down list to open the slide design task pane.

[Tip]: In the outline area, hold down the Shift key and click the first and second slides to select multiple consecutive slides at the same time; Hold down the Ctrl key and click on the corresponding slides respectively, so you can select multiple discontinuous slides at the same time.

① Title Master is only valid for slides with title slide layout.
② If it is found that a master cannot be applied to the corresponding slide, it means that the slide does not use the layout corresponding to the master. Please modify the layout and reapply.
③ If you are not satisfied with the applied master format, you can modify the master as described above, or directly modify the corresponding slides to beautify and decorate your presentation.
