Peach, as the treasure of mountain fruit, has been rich in Mengyin since ancient times. As early as Dawenkou culture period, the ancestors of Mengyin began to plant peaches. Mengshan State in Xia Dynasty and Zhuan Xu State in Zhou Dynasty both established royal peach gardens at the northern foot of Mengshan Mountain, and the responsibility was taken care of by special personnel. The peaches produced are famous for their "big bowl, red as charcoal and fragrant smell" in history, and have become the best tribute, sacrifice, hospitality and birthday treasures.

In 608 BC, in the autumn of Lu's accession to the throne, in order to thank his mother-in-law, Qi's help, he set up an alliance platform in the fruitful Mengshan Taoyuan, so as to join hands with Qi to taste peaches. Lu arrived first, but Qi didn't arrive for some reason. Lu set up another one near Union Station, watched it while waiting, and looked at it briefly. This station, later known as Lu Reading Station, is now a county-level key cultural relics protection unit. Qi didn't arrive, but after that, Yu Pingzhou and Qi formed an alliance. Since then, the Taiwan Alliance has gradually declined, because it is located in the Royal Peach Blossom Garden, later known as the Peach Market, and has been used to this day, and has always been the resident of the town. Today, Shandong Yimengcui Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. is located in Jinxin Village, Xu Tao Town.

According to legend, in the middle and late Warring States period, Sun Bin studied in Mengshan with Guiguzi and in Royal Taoyuan. The grass fairy white ape of dolomite in Mengshan stole the disease of imperial peach and saved his mother, and was captured by Sun Bin. When Sun Bin learned the reason for stealing peaches, he felt pity and Bai Xu came back with peaches. The white ape mother recovered from eating peaches and rewarded Sun Bin with a gobbledygook. Sun Bin got this gobbledygook, and went down the mountain to help Qi and was invincible. After Sun Wu, he became the second generation soldier saint.

Folk also said that after Wang Mang usurped the throne at the end of the Western Han Dynasty, Liu Xiu failed and fled to Nanyang to transfer troops. When I passed Daigu, I just climbed a mountain ridge full of peach blossoms and was caught up by the mang soldiers. Seeing that he was captured by the headstrong soldiers, he suddenly met a beautiful woman and dragged Liu Xiu into the flowers. Entering the flowers, it used to be a beautiful hall with tables and chairs and delicious food. Liu Xiu can have a full meal. Liu Xiu saw that this woman was elegant and full of admiration. The woman said, "I'm the Peach Blossom Fairy, and I'm here to save your highness's life. I have nothing to do with your highness. " The words sound just fell and the building was empty. It is still a peach blossom. Liu Xiu thanked him and left. This kind of beam has spread all over Taolin since ancient times, called Taohuagang, also called Taoshuliang. Located at the foot of Daigu Mountain, it is still in use today and is an administrative village name.

At the end of Qing Dynasty, it was said that there was a herbalist named Guo Heng in Mengshan. On the Mid-Autumn Festival, he climbed a cliff to collect herbs, and got a pair of beautiful peaches between the cliffs. They were dyed and fragrant. Guo Heng picked herbs and peaches and went to Jinan to sell medicine. It's a long way and thirsty. Guo Heng couldn't help eating a peach. He felt refreshed and full of energy. When he arrived in Jinan and the drugstore, Wang Zhanggui smelled a strange fragrance and asked Guo Heng what medicine it was. Guo Heng told the truth and handed the peach to Wang Zhanggui. Wang Zhanggui sighed: "These peaches are called Xianshoutao. One is yin and the other is yang. These two peaches can be eaten, which can strengthen the body and prolong life, and can be worth 120 silver. Eating one is worthless, and the rest is worth one hundred and twenty pieces of silver. " Wang Zhanggui sold the peach for his mother to eat. She recovered and lived a hundred years. Guo Heng lived a hundred years because of eating Xiantao. Later, he lived in Nan 'an Village at the northern foot of Mengshan Mountain. Therefore, the treasures in peaches are also called Xiantao and Shoutao. Peach base is called "China Shoutao".

Peach blossom is a beautiful flower, which is rich in flowers, colorful and fragrant, suitable for viewing and deeply loved by the masses. Ancient literati and sages praised peach blossoms. For example, Xiao (an essayist in the Tang Dynasty) in Lanling wrote "The Mountain of MengMeng" and "Dongmeng Town is a beautiful place"; Poems such as "Tianmen Mountain" by Li Cheng, a poet of the Five Dynasties (Tianmen Mountain is in the northwest of Mengshan Mountain), such as "The mountain is divided into two walls, and if it is like Tianmen, it seems to avoid Qin Paradise". Tao Mengxiao is "health first, delicious * * *". There are also Cui Hu's "Peach blossoms still smile in the spring breeze when people don't know where to go" and Li Bai's "Peach blossoms with rain in the barking of dogs", all of which are beautiful sentences about peach blossoms. Peach blossom is the messenger of spring and a symbol of hope and enthusiasm.

Mengyin, since the county was established in the early years of the Western Han Dynasty, has gone through the Han, Jin, Sui, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, rising and falling, controlling chaos and reincarnation, but it has followed its ancestors and planted peaches, which has been passed down to this day.

Mengyin peach, Mengyin peach experienced three important development periods after the founding of New China, in which 1995-2007 was a period of rapid development in a large area, and the cultivation area increased from 1995 to 500,000 mu in 2007, of which19000 mu. It is a seedling variation found in Laishanqu Village, Yantai City, Shandong Province. It was named as 1995 after being appraised by Yantai fruit tree experts. The fruit is nearly round, big, bright red on the sunny side, white flesh, fine meat, sweet taste, containing soluble solids 14% ~ 16%, which is relatively resistant to storage and transportation.

According to Qu, a fruit technician in Qucun, 1978, two or three wild peach trees grew on the mountain near Qucun. Qu Yuanyang, the captain of the fruit industry in the village at that time, broke a branch from the tree and took it home to graft it on a peach tree in the yard. 1983, taking advantage of the spring tide of market economy, a kind of peach appeared in the market in Qucun. Its skin was bright, its size was large, and, importantly, its taste was sweet. The maternal line of these peaches is the grafted peach tree in Qu Yuanyang's yard. By 1998, there was a scene of "Laishan honey in every household" in the village. Peach kernel and peach blossom are used as medicines in traditional medicine in China.
