Lan (lán), a Chinese character, with phonetic notation:, comes from Xie Lingyun's Poem of Shooting a Hall in the West Late, with pictophonetic characters, from the mountain, and embarrassed voice (n). The original meaning is fog in the mountains.

Guang Yun, Ju Yun, Yun Hui and Zheng Yun are full of melodies. "Shuo Wen" Crane, the name of the mountain. Near Taiyuan, there are fat ponds and good horses.
