The first version of EPLAN software was released from 1984. After more than 20 years of continuous improvement, it has developed into a well-known electrical design software in the field of electrical design in Europe and America-EPLAN 5. EPLAN 5 adopts a graphic-based design method. In order to adapt to the double-byte language operating system in the Asia-Pacific region, Epland Company launched its sister product-Epland 2 1 in the late 1990s. It is an object-based design method and was used by domestic customers in the early days. With the development of computer software and hardware technology, Epland 5 and Epland 2 1 stopped developing in 2006 and merged into the latest version of Epland Electric P8.
Epsilon electric P8 absorbs the advantages of Epsilon 5 and Epsilon 2 1, and combines the operating styles of Windows and AutoCAD to give users a better operating experience. Epsilon electric P8 adopts Unicode technology, which can normally display Chinese, Japanese, Korean and other languages in the world without installing additional programs (the operating system has corresponding fonts, so users can quickly get started and skillfully use both graphic design and object design, and the previously accumulated data of Epsilon 5 and Epsilon 2 1 can be successfully migrated to the new Epsilon electric P8. In addition, EPLAN software has developed from a single electrical design software to a CAE tool with the same engineering data management platform. In addition to electrical design, EPLAN Fluid allows you to quickly design fluid diagrams such as pneumatic and hydraulic, and EPLAN PPE allows you to quickly execute P & amp； The design of electrical control cabinet can adopt ID diagram, field instrument diagram design and EPLAN cabinet. In addition to 3D visual view, it can also provide functions such as automatic wiring and automatic line length calculation. EPLAN ESG (schematic diagram generator) has changed the work of electrical engineers from drawing to design. These software modules have the same database as Epland Electric P8, and the data information in electrical design can be transferred to other software, other third-party software (such as Autodesk Inventor, UG and other mechanical software, Siemens Step-7, Schneider Unity and other electrical software) or third-party systems (such as ERP, PDM and so on). ). At the same time, the data information of the software, such as cable length, mounting substrate size, terminal label, etc. , can be directly transmitted to the corresponding processing equipment, and the mechanical equipment completes the previous manual work such as cable cutting and numbering, terminal label printing, etc.
Epland electric P8 has three different user versions:
Epland electric P8 trial version (trial version): It is suitable for new users to try out the operation and functions of the software, and can be used for 30 days. These paintings were watermarked when they were printed. Epland Electric P8 Education (Education Edition): It is suitable for students at school or colleges and universities, and can be used for 30 days with incomplete functions. Epland Electric P8: This is the official commercial version. Divided into three versions. Different versions have different functions and different prices: simple version, standard version and professional version.
Each version has different functions. The simple version has a page limit, that is, in a project, the schematic diagram can only have up to 40 pages (excluding reports).

However, when two similar products face customers in the market, it is easy to cause misunderstandings and differences. So in 2005, Epron merged these two softwares into a unified platform, which is now Epron Electric P8. At the same time, the original two products, EPLAN 2 1 and EPLAN 5, stopped developing. The new Epland electric P8 integrates the advantages of the original Epland 2 1 and Epland 5 product series, and adds new functions. It is considered as an innovative and revolutionary unified platform, which represents the highest level of software in EPLAN.
