People's Republic of China (PRC) (China) Notary Law Fair Procedure Rules

A: In order to standardize the notarization procedure and ensure the notarization quality, these Rules are formulated in accordance with the Notary Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) (hereinafter referred to as the Notary Law) and relevant laws and administrative regulations. Notary institutions shall abide by the law, adhere to the principles of objectivity, justice and convenience, and abide by the norms and disciplines of notarization practice. Notary institutions shall independently exercise their notarization functions according to law and bear civil liabilities. No unit or individual may illegally interfere with them, and their legitimate rights and interests shall not be violated. A notarization institution shall, in accordance with the provisions of the Notarization Law, accept notarization applications, handle notarization business and issue notarial certificates in its own name. Notaries shall be appointed by notaries, handle notarization business in accordance with the procedures stipulated in the Notary Law and these Detailed Rules, and sign the notarial certificate issued.
