Can people who have been expelled from the Party rejoin the Party?

Those who have been expelled from the Party can rejoin the Party if they correct their mistakes and meet the requirements of party member.

According to Article 1 of Chapter 1 of the Articles of Association of China * * * Producer Party, "China workers, peasants, soldiers, intellectuals and advanced elements of other social classes who have reached the age of 18, recognize the Party's program and articles of association, are willing to join the Party's organizations and actively work in them, implement the Party's resolutions, and pay party dues on time can apply to join the China * * * Producer Party." Party constitution does not stipulate that people who have been expelled from the Party cannot rejoin the Party.

Since being expelled from the party, it is a serious mistake, even a crime. Therefore, Article 12 of the newly revised Regulations on Disciplinary Actions in the Communist Party of China (CPC) stipulates: "party member was expelled from the Party and may not rejoin the Party within five years." If a person who has been expelled from the Party applies to rejoin the Party, and after a long-term test and more rigorous examination by the Party organization, it is proved that the comrade has recognized and corrected his mistakes and is qualified to join the Party, the Party organization may agree to rejoin the Party in accordance with the prescribed procedures.
