The water clock is a treasure of Xiamen Science and Technology Museum, with a height of 7.4 meters. This is a timing device driven by water. It adopts the pivotal wheel balance timing device and siphon system, which are the core parts of the water transport platform built by Su Song, a scientist in the Northern Song Dynasty.
The Xiamen Academician Wall has gathered 20 Xiamen-born or Xiamen-working academicians from China Academy of Sciences and China Academy of Engineering. China's first exhibition hall with the theme of marine science-Cross-Strait Marine Science and Technology Exhibition Hall, also known as "Aquarium" and "Ocean Cradle Hall". A drop of water in the ocean, the Aquarium selects marine knowledge closely related to the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, and leads people into the door of understanding the ocean through text exposition, image demonstration, interactive games and personal experience, arousing everyone's awareness and action to protect the marine ecological environment and promoting the harmonious development between people and the ocean.
Aquarium is mainly divided into three themes: life and ocean, strait and ocean, polar and ocean. The construction of the Ocean Museum is an important project in Xiamen, which is of great significance for promoting scientific and cultural exchanges and cooperation between Xiamen and Taiwan Province Province, as well as local popular science education. The Discovery Museum, also known as the Discovery Museum, is the largest exhibition area of Xiamen Science and Technology Museum. There are more than 80 hands-on exhibits, including magnetoelectric stage, relativistic photon number, mirror maze, magical hut, etc., which will take you back to the exploration process and explain the discovery feat in the history of human science and technology.
Magnetoelectric stage: Use the form of stage play and rich means of sound, light, electricity, explanation and multimedia to create a lively and interesting scientific atmosphere. Show the principles of electromagnetic science and live scientific performances in plain language.
Magic hut: also known as "screaming hut", it challenges your visual impact and sense of balance. After entering the cabin, you will feel dizzy and scream again and again. Come and experience it.
