At that time, there were not even some bookstores and printing houses in Haifu area. He deeply felt that this was one of the main reasons for the cultural backwardness in Haifu area and even Qiongzhou, so he came up with the idea of establishing Hainan Bookstore. He thought deeply and did a lot of research. He called his friends Li, Sun Bangding, Tang Pinsan, and others to Sun Lin's home in Taizhi, a provincial town, and to discuss the preparation of Hainan Bookstore in front of Fudi Backstreet in Fucheng.
The establishment of Hainan Bookstore is the first publication of books in Hainan, which is an important event in the cultural history of Hainan. At the age of 80, he wrote an article about the preparation of Hainan Bookstore. At that time, in addition to Li and Sun Bangding's self-raised equity funds, the shares of Lin and Tang Pinsan were advanced by Wang Shuoren. As soon as the funds are in place, we will rent a shop at the south gate of Haikou for trial operation. Then, through bidding, I bought the Wen's property of Bo 'ai Road in Haikou auctioned by Qiongshan Court, rebuilt the building, purchased books, documents and printing locomotives, and officially opened.
Although he was the initiator and host of the bookstore, he chose Tang Pinsan as the manager, Lin as the deputy manager and cashier because he was going to Japan to complete his studies. He left after the regulation came to an end and the operation was normal, and went to a university in Japan for further study. 1925 After graduation, he still presided over the operation and management of Hainan Bookstore.
Qi Xin, all my colleagues in the bookstore, and Qi Xin are working together to expand their business. Buying Chinese and western books and publishing all kinds of books and periodicals are very popular with intellectuals. In particular, he assisted Wang in sorting out and printing the documents of Hainan sages, and successively printed the complete works, Qiu Jun's Qiongtai Manuscript (24 volumes) and University Supplement (160 volumes), Hai Rui's Memoirs of Hai Zhong (4 volumes), Wang Zuo's Ji Li Ji and Wei Xing.
The systematic publication of the works of sages in Ming and Qing Dynasties is a pioneering work to inherit Hainan's cultural context and an outstanding achievement in Hainan's cultural history. 1February, 939, Japanese invaders invaded Joan. Soon, this bookstore, which had been operating for about 15 years, was forced to close down.
