In fact, this cannot be generalized. I will sort out a detailed development plan of various construction industries, and briefly introduce it here.
Let's talk about the working direction of the cost personnel first. The first construction unit is called a budget officer. The second consulting unit and the third owner unit.
If only from the cost point of view, the consulting unit is the unit that early budget personnel should go to, with busy work and rapid growth.
And the construction unit budget officer, the work content is single, plus they don't need to be responsible for their own budget (the standard of budget reporting is to try to report), so the work will be very busy, but it may not grow, and the site manager generally won't let you report casually, and there are chores such as managing the material site.
In terms of income, the income of consulting units will be high. Generally, the self-consulting unit will commission your income according to your workload, and you are busy with your work. If you encounter good projects (such as tracking audit projects), you have certain rights, and gray income is also available.
The budget officer of the construction unit may have other income if subcontracted, but generally he will not make a commission according to the project. Because their main work is not in the budget, they may even ask the consulting unit to quote themselves, or they may ask outsiders to quote. Construction units generally don't support people, let alone budget personnel.
Owners generally can't learn anything. It can be said that if you have no background, the cost of doing it in the owner's unit is basically useless. The income will certainly not be too high. The salary of people who have worked for many years in the employer's unit will not be very high, for the simple reason that there is less work and less things.
As for the level of income, if you are in the consulting unit, the project is good, and there are many jobs in the consulting unit, then your income this year is higher than other jobs of the same age. I have worked for nearly 10 thousand yuan for three years, mainly because the projects are good and profitable, but the projects are not good, or you have not done many projects this year, so it is a basic salary of several thousand yuan.
It is difficult for the budget of the owner and the construction unit to make a big breakthrough. Because it is a low-tech job after all. The owner and the construction unit still value management (the consulting unit is the technical rice of the budget, while the construction and the owner unit are not the technical rice of the budget personnel). The budget will soon reach the bottleneck (so will the consulting unit)
If we develop further, we should either take the road of management or be a technical management talent. We were on the same project (the project was very good in those days). Later, some people specialized in investment and financing consulting, some opened their own stores, and some people went to the owners to enjoy themselves (after all, the consulting unit was too tired). Anyway, I seldom see people who have done budget work for ten years (pure budget work).
Something is still coming, and someone has to support it.
Because every company is different, my answer is only from a personal point of view, and I usually talk and summarize more. As for everyone's specific situation, if there is any difference, don't spray it.
In view of the people who say that they have a budget of 1 million in the comments, please look at the questions of the landlord and the budget staff who have worked for three years.
What's more, people who work for more than 500,000 people are no longer budget personnel, but management personnel. Ten budget personnel will still be budget personnel after five years, but there is only one manager.
The salary you can get for a position is directly proportional to the profit you can create (basically). Technicians are always technicians. As long as you are irreplaceable, there will be no high salary. Managers take the profits created by everyone and allocate resources.
Listen to me. You call the man with an annual salary of 500,000 Zhang Gong, Wang Gong and Gong Li?
Besides, what an ordinary person can do with an annual salary of 500 thousand and millions? Do you know how many stories are behind him? I have never seen such people before, but their situation is not suitable for you, at least not for me.
Not to mention millions and hundreds of thousands of people every year. Poverty has limited my imagination and development potential. Our leader, the bosses of ten companies and the directors of five companies, can mobilize resources beyond your imagination.
At present, I have been working with a monthly salary of 2,000 to 20,000 yuan. Do you know what I went through? You know the effort to cross the bottleneck is beyond your imagination.
If you meet someone with a high salary next time, summarize it first and see the fatal advantage you don't have in him.
In a country where the position of toll collector spent 65,438+10,000 yuan, who knows what is behind the stupid fat man next to you.
A jun: after making a budget, I can't do it in detail myself, and I don't like to deduct the amount of work. When I was in a big company, I switched directly to business contracts, and now I am still a business contract manager. Technical work is easier than budget work, earning almost as much, but not as good as budget staff in (there is basically no workload commission, and there will be a certain year-end bonus, which is not too much and unstable)
B Jun: I grew up in a good family, smart and confident (the key is self-confidence). Self-confident people generally have higher EQ. His characteristic is that even if he is wrong, he can make you doubt yourself after arguing with you. I have been budgeting, but I have been doing the overall cost control of the project for several years. Because the project has been profitable, I have my own team at the scene (about six or seven people, and the project continues to be profitable, which is the best project of the company). At present, he is the vice president of a consulting company (there are not many people in the consulting company, so he can cooperate with several people), and he has no cost engineer certificate. Therefore, self-confidence and high emotional intelligence are always the basic qualities to be invincible in the workplace. He has no certificate.
C Jun: Girl, the unit that has been under A Jun is in charge of budget and on-site cost management. This is a position of power, that is, the position is not big, but the power is not small. Work for nearly 7/8 years, long-term assignment. Now I have returned to my hometown and opened my own shop.
D Jun: I'm very busy budgeting in the construction unit, and I don't make any money (like the budget officer in the above construction unit). The budget officer of the construction unit depends on whether there is a good master with him, and generally depends on who you introduce him to (consulting units generally do not have this situation, because everyone is working, similar to working in partnership. It's really hard to teach you that he can work in a consulting unit for ten years as soon as he relaxes.
E Jun: I work in a consulting company and stay at home after I get married.
F Jun: It's easy to go from the consulting unit to the owner every day. They used to be uneasy about the workload commission, so they didn't earn as much as they do now, but they were very tired (consulting units also looked for opportunities to find jobs)
J Jun: I've been budgeting, and I'm going to retire soon. I still calculate the amount of steel bars every day, and I have been working in the construction unit, the owner and the audit, but my work is still based on quantity calculation. This is really suitable for people who have a good attitude and can sit still.
H Jun: I worked as an owner for seven or eight years, and then I left my job and went to a new unit. I resigned before my internship. Because I can't even do the most basic work for so many years, it's terrible to stay in the employer as soon as I graduate. I only know that there is such a job and I don't know how to do it.
Jun I: A cost engineer who is still on a business trip and abroad. Go home once every three months.
Finally, I: I just graduated and want to do sales, because I feel that sales give people rapid growth and can quickly accumulate the first bucket of gold. Then I found out I couldn't do it. I don't have that strong pressure resistance, and I can't drink. I couldn't stand the irregular working conditions every day, so I quickly returned to my job.
I went to a consulting company to do it, and the follow-up project was better. I'm working on the construction site, and I've been dealing with the budget staff of the construction unit. At that time, my identity and income were very substantial. However, I still have a sense of crisis. I want to stay at the construction site all my life. I don't want this to end. At that time, the idea was that you could come out of the construction site with a high income. I can't work overtime, and the salary is not low. Later, the method I thought of was textual research. With the certificate of money, even if there is not much workload in a year, there is not much difference, and the income will still be similar to that of a business trip.
Later, I realized my dream, so I started my business for half a year, made a succulent plant, lost money and paid back the bank. The employer I went to is catching up with the rise of PPP. Since no one will (this part is very similar to the exam content of cost engineers), I switched to PPP investment consulting.
At present, the salary of investment managers is higher than that of managers with budgets under the same circumstances, but the workload of investment managers is more than half that of budget managers (this industry is relatively new, but it will soon decline because there is no shortage of people in China, especially it is not difficult to change careers).
Now I have a new idea of being a lawyer, but it is difficult to change careers at present. If you only pass the legal professional qualification certification and go directly to practice, your family income will be under pressure. I can only try to be a lawyer's internship while doing my original job well. In this way, the income will not return to the original point, and the experience of lawyers will increase.
Finally, to sum up, budget staff and IT staff do the same job, especially when they are busy, but they can't get paid. Generally suitable for young people, who are careful and can sit still, but lively people may not be suitable or want to do so. With the increasing number of graduates majoring in civil engineering in China, the work of budget personnel is becoming more and more pessimistic, and young people will always have an advantage in the budget industry.
If you only make a budget, there is basically no big future. Doing it for three years is similar to doing it for five years or even ten years, but the job title subsidy and workload subsidy will be higher. (For example, if you do basic design, those who can only draw pipeline drawings may not have a future for many years unless you are selling ideas. )
Don't be misled by my words. The most important thing in career planning is to develop in the most possible direction according to your own situation. You will think of making a budget and making a contract, and you certainly won't think of changing careers as a flight attendant.
For example, if you feel that you can't stand long-term assignment, you can find ways to switch from site construction to bidding, and then from assignment to business trip.
If you have a background, you can do any job as long as someone teaches you.
Hard work, background and noble people (luck) are all important in your career.
