Records of Linyi contains Eight Scenes Poems of Langya written by Shu Xiang, a native of Xin 'an, Henan Province in the Ming Dynasty, among which Moonlight on Toni Lake depicts the beauty of the moonlit night on Toni Lake. The original poem is:
In the middle of the night, silver toad prints Qingxi, and the bottom of the wave is clear in autumn.
Obviously, the water room opens a golden mirror, just like the Tianhe immersion bullfight.
The geese in Fan Ji are not afraid of visitors, and the diving fish beside the bamboo are also afraid of seagulls.
Fishermen are talking to each other across the river bank. They are all fishing boats.
The moonlight on Muduo Lake depicted in this poem is really elegant. The first two sentences describe the beauty of the two moons in the sky and the water, which is precisely the source of Mudu Lake being replaced by the "Moon Lake". Tracing back to the origin of Mudu Lake, there is no evidence to test, and we can only rely on beautiful folklore. According to legend, in ancient times, a huge golden basin suddenly fell from the meteorite shower and smashed a big pit. Later, mud flowed in and gradually formed a lake, which people called Tony Lake.
