The school has law teaching and research institutions such as Criminal Law College, Civil and Commercial Law College, Economic Law School, Administrative Law School, International Law School and Public Security College, as well as law research institute, law clinic training center and editorial department of Law. Adhering to the tradition of "Shaanxi Legalist School", the school maintains a simple style of study and has a strong and high-quality teaching staff. There are 92 professors, 262 associate professors and 237 lecturers. There are 175 tutors for master students and 7 tutors for doctoral students, including 1 18 tutors for master of law and 25 part-time tutors for master of law. The comprehensive strength of the discipline of law is strong. 65438-0980, the training of criminal law graduate students began. At present, it has the right to award the first-class discipline of Master of Law, and recruits and trains Master of Law students 10 from two disciplines (independent setting). Jurisprudence, legal history, constitutional law and administrative law, criminal law, civil and commercial law, economic law, procedural law and international law are provincial key disciplines. The Research Center of Criminal Law is a key research base of law in Shaanxi Province. In 2005, the above-mentioned LLM degree program obtained a "qualified" conclusion in the evaluation organized by the State Council Academic Degree Office.
Since 1998, the school has started the master of laws education. It is the second batch of authorized units of master of laws approved by the State Council, and also a school that has been authorized by master of laws for a long time in northwest China. It has a large scale and rich experience in running schools. The school advocates the concept of "integrating theory with practice" and "serving the grassroots", constantly explores and improves the training mode of applied legal talents, innovates the education management system, and trains a large number of backbone legal talents for social management institutions such as party, government and justice at all levels in the border areas and the mainland. Up to now, 2347 students have been enrolled in 9 sessions (including in-service master of law 1.693 students) and 1.655 students. In 2005, two papers were selected as the first excellent LLM thesis in China.

The library of Yanta and Chang 'an Campus has a collection of more than 1.65 million volumes, including 398,000 Chinese and foreign political and legal books and 733 Chinese and foreign political and legal periodicals. There are 20 databases of China's legal papers, academic journals, doctoral dissertations, photocopies of NPC newspapers and periodicals, China's legal retrieval system, China's macroeconomics, etc., and the original databases of Lexis-nexis and Westlaw in the United States have been opened. The library has a large amount of reading, complete computer, typing and copying services for readers, and advanced management technology. The campus network provides 7×24 hours uninterrupted operation. British and American courts, mainland courts and China courts, as well as large and small academic lecture halls and conference rooms, can meet the needs of organizing mock trials, actual trials, case discussions and academic reports. Sports venues and facilities such as track and field, football field, basketball court, volleyball court, tennis court and badminton court provide a good environment for physical exercise and sports activities. The newly-built China exhibition hall of legal cultural relics and legal culture, with the excavation of Zhang Tang's tomb as the background, shows the spiritual temperament of Dafa University.
The postgraduate teaching area is located in Yanta Campus on the central axis of Xi City, adjacent to Dayan Pagoda and Qujiang Scenic Area, with beautiful environment. It takes 20 minutes by car to reach Chang 'an Campus and the main bustling business districts in the city. It takes 30 minutes to get to the airport by the expressway around the city.
