In recent years, with the rise of coal tar deep processing industry, we take the cross field of coal chemical industry and polymer science as processing.
Using this new growth point, the coal-based polymer materials were studied. In the increasingly tense situation of petroleum energy, Japan,
Germany and other developed countries are also actively seeking oil alternative energy, among which coal-based materials are a hot research direction. At present, the main research projects are: carbon fiber, needle coke and carbon black.
1. carbon fiber is an inorganic polymer fiber with carbon content higher than 90%, which can be obtained by deep processing of coal. As a composite material with excellent mechanical properties, it is a new material with higher strength than steel, lower density than aluminum, more corrosion resistance than stainless steel, higher temperature resistance than heat-resistant steel, and conductivity like copper, which has many valuable electrical, thermal and mechanical properties. Widely used in aerospace, aviation and other advanced fields, it has broad application prospects in engineering and other aspects, and the market demand is strong. 165438+1October16, Yongmei 1,000-ton carbon fiber project of Henan Coal Chemical Industry Group successfully produced qualified MH300 high-performance carbon fiber products.
This also marks the completion of the largest high-performance carbon fiber production base in China. The project was jointly built by Henan Coal Chemical Group and Shanxi Coal Chemical Research Institute of China Academy of Sciences. After it is completed and put into production, Yongmei Carbon Fiber Company will be the only enterprise producing carbon fiber products in Henan Province. The first phase of the project invested 740 million yuan, with an annual output of 500 tons of MH300 high-performance carbon fiber. At the same time, a delegation led by Zhang Sheng of Japan Hualian Co., Ltd. and Sun Han, chairman of China Huazheng Company, came to Yangquan City, Shanxi Province to inspect and develop the project.
20 11In mid-February, the 5000-ton coal-based pitch-based carbon fiber project invested by Shanxi Hongte Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. started construction in Jiaocheng Economic Development Zone. It is expected to be completed and put into operation in July this year. The project covers an area of 500 mu, with an annual output value of 65.438+0.5 billion yuan, which will end China's long-term dependence on imports of coal-based pitch-based carbon fiber and break the monopoly of foreign enterprises on this product. The research team led by Professor Shen Zengmin, honorary director of beijing university of chemical technology Carbon Fiber Development Research Institute and doctoral supervisor, and Professor Ye, chief scientist of National Carbon Fiber Engineering Technology Research Center, went all out to make the project a success in the laboratory test in just one year.
2. Needle coke is a high-quality material for manufacturing high-power and ultra-high-power electrodes. The graphite electrode made of needle coke has strong thermal shock resistance, high mechanical strength, good oxidation performance, low electrode consumption and high allowable current density. The needle coke produced at present can be divided into petroleum series and coal series according to the raw materials used. The Ministry of Petroleum is represented by the United States and the Ministry of Coal is represented by Japan. The production facilities of Mitsubishi Chemical Company and Xinyi Chemical Company of Japan were put into production in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
The Great Lakes Carbon Company 1950 was successfully developed for the first time. 1964, the United carbide company of the United States successfully manufactured the needle coke ultra-high power electrode. According to the latest statistics, the domestic demand for high-power and ultra-high-power electrodes is 654.38+10,000 t/a, and the corresponding demand for needle coke is120,000 t/a. At present, due to the limited number of imported needle coke, the output of Jinzhou Petrochemical Company is only 30,000 t/a. Therefore, the output of ultra-high power covered electrode in China has to be determined by the number of needle coke. The production processes of needle coke mainly include vacuum distillation, solvent extraction, M-L method and flash condensation polymerization. At present, the chemical branch of Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. is conducting a pilot test, and the quality of needle coke has reached the same level as that of Nippon Steel and Mitsubishi. Anshan Thermal Energy Research Institute is also conducting pilot tests and has made great progress. The pilot report of Shanxi Shuozhou Sanyuan Carbon Co., Ltd. has also passed the appraisal of Shanxi Science and Technology Department. Shanxi hongte coal chemical co., ltd has been put into industrial trial production. Although the CTE is not up to standard, nearly 3,000 tons of products have been supplied to Lanzhou Carbon Factory and Nantong Carbon Factory as raw materials for producing 400 high-power electrodes.
3. Carbon black is mainly used in rubber products. The finer the particle size of carbon black, the better its reinforcement performance. The higher the structural degree of carbon black, the higher its modulus and modulus. Fine-grained reinforcement varieties are mainly used for tire treads, giving tires excellent wear resistance.
Other parts of the tire, such as sidewall, cord fabric, belt buffer layer and inner liner, require the rubber compound to be resistant to flex cracking, ozone oxidation, good resilience and low heat generation performance. Generally, semi-reinforced furnace black is selected with coarse particle size (specific surface area is less than 40m2/g).
As the rubber market will rebound from the economic crisis, it will increase by 7.3% in 20 10 and 3.6% in 20 10 to 20 15. It is predicted that the global carbon black consumption will reach 1 150 in 20 15.
Progress will be driven by Asia, especially China, Indian, Indonesian and Thailand. Notch Consulting Group currently predicts that the total demand for carbon black in China will reach 3.7 million tons in 20 15 years. With the increase of car radial tire production becoming the main driving force, all fields of China market are expanding. Because the global demand for main products with carbon black as filler is not strong, the market of special carbon black products has lagged behind.
It can be seen that coal-based new materials have obvious development advantages in the future coal chemical industry, and are also an important direction for upgrading coal tar deep processing technology. Coal-based new materials have become the focus of many coal chemical experts in energy substitution, environmental protection and excellent performance of new materials.
