(a) to participate in the political consultation and democratic supervision of the party and the state on major policies and issues;
(two) to put forward opinions and suggestions on the legislative work, development planning and policy provisions of the non-public economy and participate in discussions and research;
(three) political arrangements to assist in recommending representatives of the non-public economy;
(four) to participate in government-related economic activities and establish a working contact system with relevant government departments;
(five) to provide information, consulting, training, legal advice and other services for members, reflect the opinions and demands of members, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of members;
(six) to strengthen ties with the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions and the rest of the world, and to promote economic and trade cooperation and technical exchanges;
(seven) to cooperate with relevant departments to carry out party building work in member enterprises;
(eight) responsible for the management of industry chambers of commerce and industry associations, and assisting relevant departments to guide social organizations with the non-public economy as the main body;
(nine) to undertake other tasks assigned by the provincial party committee, the provincial government and the National Federation of Industry and Commerce.
In 2003, Guangdong Private Enterprise Complaint Center was established, and the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce was responsible for the specific operation. The main function is to accept complaints from private enterprises to government functional departments or other relevant administrative departments. The Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce also sponsored the magazine New Guangdong Merchants, and established the website of Guangdong Chamber of Commerce and the website of Guangdong Private Enterprise Complaint Center.
