"But when I first went there, there were really many unexpected things." As soon as they stepped into the factory gate of Qingtongxia No.1 Muslim Food Factory, they felt cold at the sight of the equipment. After hearing about the materials used, I shuddered; I tasted several existing foods and felt poor and single. The economic benefit has been negative growth, with losses year after year. At that time, the annual output value was only 98,000 yuan. 3000 kilograms of moon cakes were produced throughout the year, of which 1.500 kilograms rotted in the warehouse because they could not be sold. There are only a dozen workers in the whole factory. Miao Weizhong believes that the rise and fall of enterprises is not in the factory building, but in the products. First of all, he wants to introduce the "fist" products of Putuo Food Factory, such as preserved plum cakes, vegetarian moon cakes and popcorn candy, to open the market first. Factory equipment can be simple, but what if there are no eggs? He took several workers, pulled carts and rode bicycles to the countryside dozens of kilometers away, picking and collecting them one by one. An accidental collision with a bicycle made the family nervous.

He never left the workshop from trial production to production. A batch of soft and delicious plum cake was put on the market, which quickly made a sound in the mountains and rivers of Saibei. A plum blossom cake has improved the popularity of Qingtongxia city.

Traditional moon cakes are made of lard, but in order to adapt to local customs and habits, Miao Lao successfully developed and created a unique cake after dozens of experiments with plain oil. In less than four months, ten varieties of vegetarian moon cakes were successfully trial-produced, and the output doubled, reaching only 35,000 kilograms, bringing a factory on the verge of closure back to life. With a stroke of a finger, Miao's third-year contract period came, and he returned to Zhoushan with considerable profits. After Miao Lao left, the sales volume of Qingtongxia Food Factory gradually declined, and the enterprises also gradually shrank. In order to solve the difficulties, the mayor of Qingtongxia personally came to shenjiamen to meet Miao Lao and asked him to come out again. The mayor's sincerity moved Miao Lao to start a business in Ningxia.

After Miao Lao returned to Ningxia, he decided to make an article on vegetarian moon cakes.

He knows that vegetarian moon cakes have occupied the Ningxia market, but today, with the rapid development of food industry, people's consumption mentality is also ever-changing. The market competition is becoming more and more fierce. Running the food industry is like fighting a war. Without strategic vision, it is impossible to defeat the enemy.

From this time on, he devoted himself to developing moon cakes. He found that the food tasted by southerners was not popular with northerners. He wanted to make food that catered to northerners, so his home became his laboratory and his family became his helpers. He improved "Chaozhou granny cake" with the proportion of pure vegetable oil, making it a famous food in northwest China. Then, "Japanese moon cakes" were innovated and became hot items in the market. In a western food, he suddenly had an inspiration. Why not put people's favorite green fruits into the mooncake stuffing? This bold idea alarmed colleagues. He was ridiculed and asserted that dehydration was difficult to solve. He didn't argue. Instead, I silently bought bananas, mangoes, apples and other fruits, and started the research and development of fruit series moon cakes at home behind closed doors. After more than 30 efforts, the original fruit moon cake with crispy skin and soft stuffing was finally developed. After it was put on the market, it caused a sensation. This is the first fruit moon cake in China. Then, the first sugar-free series of oats, wheat germ, corn and other varieties were developed in China.

In order to meet the needs of many parties and commend Miao Lao's contribution to the research and development of moon cakes and improve product quality, the company named the moon cake series "Lao Miao" and applied to the State Trademark Office for registration as an exclusive and lasting brand as a souvenir.

Why can a small moon cake cause such a big sensation? Miao Weizhong believes that this is because they use the existing technology and combine the unique local ethnic customs. In the actual R&D and production, we absorbed the essence of Nasu, French, Chaozhou and Ningshi moon cakes, constantly improved and refined them, and finally successfully developed the first ten series in China, including fruit series, tea series, fragrance series, chocolate series, Fushou series, mini series and beef series.

Miao Weizhong told reporters: don't look at my captain, I am very aggressive and tenacious. With products, sales is a problem. If there is no market, products are equal to waste products. In order to promote products, he led a team to all corners of the northwest and went to Qinghai, Urumqi, Xi and Baotou. The products were sold to Guishunzhai in Tianjin, Asia in Zhengzhou, Xidan in Beijing and Wangfujing Commercial Center, and I don't know how many times they were shut down. I remember that in order to let the products enter the largest non-staple food shopping mall in Xi 'an-Chonglou non-staple food shopping mall. He can't get enough interviews during the day, but he continues to work hard at night. I ran this mall 10 times in a row, and finally I touched the "God".

Just like Qingtongxia halal food goes to the whole country. Some counties and cities are red-eyed, and once hired Lao Miao as a consultant with high salary. Manufacturers from Xi 'an, Baoji, Baotou and Zhengzhou paid high salaries to visit Zhoushan in Ningxia. You didn't just poach Miao Weizhong, but you wanted to bring down this food factory! 1993, Qingtongxia Municipal People's Government awarded him the title of honorary citizen. A group of people from the Party Committee of the autonomous region visited him in the company many times. Bai Lichen, Vice Chairman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and then Chairman of Ningxia Autonomous Region People's Government, visited the food factory many times. After 20 years of ups and downs, Lao Miao dedicated his wisdom and hard work to the simple northwest and the land of Ningxia that he dreamed of. In 2004, 76-year-old Miao Lao returned to his hometown of Zhoushan.

Maybe it inherited the cells of the old Miao, and his daughter is determined to inherit Miao's career. Now she also founded a food enterprise-Zhoushan Guansutang Food Co., Ltd. Maybe we don't know much about Guansutang, but Zhoushan people may understand when they mention his product "Guanyin Cake". In 2004, his daughter asked him to go out again and serve as the technical director of Guansutang. Miao Lao Bao Dao is not old, and he readily agrees. "Guanyin cake" is a continuation of Miao Lao's concept of "vegetarian cake" It is unique in material selection, technology and production. Over the past four years, "Guanyin Cake" has grown from scratch and has become a specialty of Zhoushan and Putuo Mountain, winning recognition and praise from foreign tourists and citizens of this city. Miao Lao has made great contributions to the tourism industry in his hometown.

The current general manager of Guansutang told the reporter that the expansion of the enterprise requires the introduction of a production line from Taiwan Province Province, and Miao Lao's technical requirements have stumped the designer of the production line-a returnee who came back from studying in Japan. Miao Lao's formula is a "forbidden area" in conventional theory and a technical barrier that peers dare not think about. The designer doesn't believe what Miao Lao said is true.
