The National Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Plenary Session") is an advisory and deliberative body of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, which is composed of representatives of people, enterprises and organizations related to foreign economic relations and trade.

The functions of the plenary session are:

As of July 20 17, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade had overseas representative offices in 15 countries and regions. Arbitration and mediation institution
(1) The China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission is established within the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade to accept economic and trade arbitration cases.
(2) The China Maritime Arbitration Commission shall be established within the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade to accept maritime arbitration cases.
(3) Establish a mediation center within the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade to accept civil and commercial and maritime mediation cases.
Local and industry trade promotion agencies
Local and industry trade promotion agencies should set up local committees, and their members should be composed of local or industry representatives, enterprises, institutions and groups.
Local and industrial trade promotion institutions are independent legal persons, and can independently conduct business and sign agreements, protocols and other documents related to economic and trade promotion according to the articles of association of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
Local and industry trade promotion agencies have their own financial plans, and can purchase property and undertake relevant obligations in their own names. According to business needs, enterprises and institutions with independent economic accounting and legal personality can be established.
