What department does the township forestry station belong to?

The township forestry station, called "a township (town) forestry workstation", is the management institution of the county (city) forestry department in the township (generally public institution, clerk level). It is similar in nature to the land management of villages and towns.

Generally, the dual leadership of the county (city) forestry department and the township where it is located is implemented, with the forestry department as the main leader. The main tasks include forest administration, forest resources management, forest protection and fire prevention, pest control, forest management and production.

In terms of job security, the "New Measures" highlights the work funds, and clarifies that "if the forestry workstation undertakes special tasks such as key forestry projects, the departments or units that issue special tasks shall allocate necessary special work funds in accordance with relevant regulations.

At the same time, forestry authorities at all levels are required to "guarantee and improve the working conditions, living conditions and treatment of forestry workstation staff".

In terms of system construction, it is clear that forestry workstations should establish and improve various systems such as personnel, financial accounting, state-owned assets management and clean government construction, and accept the supervision and inspection of county-level forestry authorities or township people's governments.

The Measures for the Administration of Forestry Workstations is a law formulated to strengthen the construction and management of forestry workstations and give full play to the role of forestry stations in protecting forests and wildlife resources and developing forestry. On March 3, 2000, the Measures for the Administration of Forestry Workstations was promulgated by the State Forestry Administration and came into force on March 3, 2000.
