Being a monk is not only the teacher of everyone in the world (the teacher is an example), but also your thoughts, words and deeds, and others learn from you. You represent Sakyamuni Buddha, continue to be wise and learn from others. Think about whether you can do it. Really can do it, well, it's rare! Not only Sakyamuni Buddha is happy, but all Buddhas are happy. Which dragon? God forbid you! But you can't do it, you can't do it, the Buddha won't care for you, and the good god won't bless you. Some ghosts and gods will come to you, and monsters will come to you to help you do evil and lead you to the road of three evils. Most of the three evils are hell. These evil spirits come to protect you, let you build a career, and finally send you to hell in A Bi. I believe that these evil spirits are all wrongs done in previous lives, and they are all enemies and creditors. This is that although you are a monk, you have obstacles, you can't study hard, you can't break evil and cultivate good, and on the one hand, you stay away from good laws and do all kinds of evil. This is a big trouble.
Goode often said that there are four things, and there are four things at home, so be clear. After you understand, if I can't be a good example to the public, I will study Buddhism at home. Being a monk at home is good. Vimo set a good example for us to become a monk at home. There are four kinds of homes. The first one is called Tian Zhai Jia, which is what we usually say now. You have real estate, land, a house, a career, a wife and children. This is home and secular home. Most people talk about becoming a monk. Without this home, this home is not important. More importantly, the troubled family that the Buddha told us, the ten good things we just talked about, the opposite of the ten good things, and the ten evil things are home. You cut off the ten evils, and from then on, your thoughts, words and deeds correspond to the ten good ones. You go beyond the ten evils, and you are out. That's good. You're out of trouble.
There are also four kinds of things. The first one is no heart. When you left home, your parents, wife and children went with him, you went to live in a temple, and you became a monk, but you were obsessed with five desires and six dust in your heart, and you were still doing it. Then you are crazy. If you don't go out of your heart, you will have a big obstacle. Not only will you not be released, but your sin will be very heavy. This is what Gu Dade said: Oral recitation is no good. To recite the scriptures and Buddha, you can recite Buddha but not Buddha. On the surface, you pretend to be a good person, but you are not. To put it mildly, you deceive yourself. People can cheat, but they can't cheat buddhas and bodhisattvas, and they can't cheat ghosts and gods. Have you thought about it? If you can't get out of your heart, you have to really understand, ponder, ponder and dare not become a monk. Who wants to commit such a serious crime?
In this environment today, even if you are sincere and pure, where can you go to learn Buddhism? Where is the real Dojo? Is this Dojo true or false? Why? There is a lot of hypocrisy in this society now, which is false and good, but it is not true. It looks good on the surface, but it's not like this. I used to have a friend in Los Angeles. He was a monk and mage. He is a few years younger than me. In Los Angeles, I met Rinpoche in Tibet. I respected him very much and learned Buddhism from him. When Rinpoche returned to Tibet, he followed him for about three months. When he returned to America, he told me it was false. I said, how is it fake? He said that he is not Rinpoche, he is Tibetan and lives in Nepal. Because I heard that there were many people who supported the monk outside, he pretended to be Rinpoche and went to the United States. After receiving a lot of support, he realized that he was not. He is the head of the family. He knew a lot about Buddhism and etiquette and went to America pretending to be Rinpoche. Anyone who goes to America has to support himself and live a good life for a few years. Now this society is full of wonders, including Buddhism and other religions. What does this mean? It is difficult to cultivate, where can we find truth, goodness and knowledge? Find a good Dojo? It's not easy.
It is precisely because of this relationship that our teachers, teachers, are truly knowledgeable and know the current environment. My teacher, one is Master Zhang Jia, and the other is an old layman in Li Bingnan. They both have special circumstances, and we can't stay with them all our lives. What's more, Master Zhang Jia taught me for three years, and then he left. I was with him at the age of 26, when he was 65. He left at the age of 68 and I stayed with him for three years. Teacher Li is a special environment and can't be close for a long time. So Mr. Li taught me to learn Mencius and Yi. What does that mean? Mencius and Yan Yi were both private disciples of the ancients, but today people take the ancients as their teachers. Mencius took Confucius as his teacher. Confucius is dead and not here. He reads Confucius' books, learns from Confucius, and asks Confucius' students if he doesn't understand. He really studies like Confucius. You see, Confucius is called the most holy in China, and Mencius is the most holy. Confucius' teaching was really passed on to Mencius, not others. Mencius really got them completely, leaving a good example for future generations. Master Hu Yi was born in the late Ming Dynasty. He studied under master lianchi. Master lianchi died, but master lianchi's works are still there. He learned according to master lianchi's works, which was very rewarding. According to the ancients, master lianchi is the eighth generation of our Pure Land Sect, and Hu Yi is the ninth generation.
What is a real monk?
Unprofitable work is for becoming a monk. Those who have laws can be said to have advantages and merits. Becoming a monk is inaction. There is no benefit or benefit in doing nothing. . A monk has neither this nor the middle. See you in Nirvana at the age of 62. The refuge of the wise.

Parents or guardians agree to permit (the Buddhist system is flexible), and bring the written materials agreed by parents, ID card, household registration certificate (issued by the police station) and physical examination certificate (not required in some places) to the temple you think is predestined friends.
2. The limbs are complete (Buddhism). Short hands and feet, twisted hands and feet, paralysis, polio patients, leprosy patients, crooked heads, etc. People who can't walk normally can't be banned from becoming monks. )
3. Correct the five senses (Buddhism). Blind, cross-eyed, deaf, deaf, crooked mouth, rabbit mouth or missing mouth, mute, etc. , are not allowed to become a monk. )
4. Not infected with serious infectious diseases (Buddhism, you can become a monk when you are in good health). (such as AIDS, various skin diseases, etc. ). But this is not the case with colds. )
5. People who have no debt problems (Buddhism, paying off debts can become monks). (such as bankruptcy, business failure and debt. )
6. Persons who have not violated national laws (criminal) or involved in legal proceedings. (refers to a person wanted by the police. If it is a crime, but the person released after serving his sentence is not in this case. (Buddhism can accommodate)
7. The age of the novice monk is not less than 7 years old (Buddhism), and the age of the novice monk is not less than 17 years old (government). (Buddhism is subject to great precepts at the age of 20, and can become a monk under the age of 20. There is no upper limit on the age of becoming a monk. The Buddha was only 120 years old when he was alive. So becoming a monk is easy. However, bribery is only the basic equality of foothold, not indiscriminate acceptance, otherwise Buddhism will become a trash can that hides evil people and practices evil! Therefore, the condition of learning Buddhism (that is, becoming a monk) is that everyone comes to you, and the requirement of becoming a monk is thirteen difficulties and sixteen light covers. The first and thirteenth types are victims: bad inner and outer sects (people who do sabotage work and become monks), people who break his Sanskrit (people who also abstain from prostitution), thieves who enter the Taoism (people who eavesdrop on the precepts), yellow doors (people who have asexual functions), two roots (people who have both male and female genitals), people who become animals, dehumanize people, and people who commit boundary crimes (people who have been forbidden and committed great precepts).
2. Light gauze: non-slave, non-thief, non-debtor, under 20 years old, not fully disciplined, not suffering from furuncle, carbuncle, madness and other diseases (unhealthy body and mind, abnormal facial features), parents who do not listen, military service, and those who are not allowed to wear clothes. As 1 1 karma said, "A righteous man becomes a monk, and a clean man is round (subject to great precepts)."
This is the condition of becoming a monk. The so-called people with serious difficulties, as long as they fix any difficulty in this life, will not listen to Buddhism becoming a monk. As for the mask, you can eliminate the reason and become a monk at any time. According to Sapo's theory; "Sixty years old, no big ring, no ring, can listen to the novice monk; Under seven years old, don't listen. If I am punished, I have been doing evil. "
Too young and too old to become a monk, the monk law says, "You can't become a monk if you are over seven years old." He also said, "over 70 years old, you can do what you want; Less than 70, nothing can be done. If you lie down, you won't listen to becoming a monk. Over 70 years old, healthy, able to read, listen to the Tao and become a monk. "
It can be seen that people under the age of seven and over seventy are not allowed to become monks. Before the age of 20 and after the age of 60, although monks are allowed, they are not allowed to become monks. The younger is the little monk, and the older is the old monk. The younger one will eventually become a great monk, and the older one will never be forbidden by the great precepts. These requirements are all put forward by Buddhism, but some Buddhists are limited to talk on paper. When they climb the altar to grab tools, professors and Buddhist monks will of course ask questions, but they have never seen a new commandment stumped and covered. Some abstainers, because of greed, know that the little novice monk is less than twenty years old, but teach them to lie and say that they are twenty years old first; How old will the monk who quit the ring give him? It's a joke to make him 20! Some people who see their heads, those who are blind and lame, can also be given an anklet; As for over 60 years old, it's certainly more convenient! It is a matter of course whether those people can get rid of it. It is another question whether the preacher in the ring field should bear some responsibility of light law and wait for a while! Because of this, it is no wonder that most people think that monks are the best.
If the requirements are more in line with the provisions of the Buddhist system, in modern times, hairdressers certainly choose monks and nuns with prudent standards; When you talk about abstinence in the ring, you must also attach a health check list when you sign up for a new ring, and then you can decide whether to quit after face-to-face oral examination. Otherwise, the conditions mentioned are not conditions at all, but a cover for false responses.
The key is your understanding. If you think becoming a monk is the best choice in life, only by taking this road can life be meaningful. Having this concept is the most basic condition for choosing to become a monk. If you haven't formed this understanding, don't become a monk for the time being. In addition, family relations should also be handled well. Buddhist scriptures say that parents can't become monks unless they listen. But this is not in principle. There are many eminent monks and great virtues in history, such as the old monk Xu Yun, who became a monk without the consent of his parents. There are many such situations in real life, because many parents don't understand Buddhism at all, and it is impossible to get their consent before becoming a monk. So some people run out regardless of whether their parents agree or not, and there are many such situations.
If you get married, you must divorce before you become a monk. In terms of age, the precepts stipulate that you can't become a monk under the age of 7, and you can't become a monk over the age of 60, because at that age, you can't even take care of yourself and have to be raised by others. Therefore, you can't become a monk without the ability to live independently, and you can't let others take care of you after you become a monk. There are other conditions, such as taking more important party and government positions and having to resign before becoming a monk; If you owe a debt, you must pay it off before you can become a monk; There are other conditions, such as hermaphrodites can't become monks, people who have committed serious crimes such as destroying other people's Sanskrit and living in a thief's house can't become monks, that is, people who have pretended to be monks as family members and attended important meetings within the monk group can't become monks.
