Gansu Radio and Television School is affiliated to the Education Department of Gansu Province. Approved by Gansu Provincial People's Government, it was established in 1984. It is the only state-owned public full-time general secondary specialized school integrating radio, television, news and media technologies.

The school has a basic laboratory, a microcomputer room, a library, a reading room, a dance room, a program editing room, a studio, a network laboratory and a multifunctional classroom. At the same time, it has 20 high-definition cameras, 20 50-inch LCD TVs and 6 nonlinear editing machines.
