On June 27th, 20 18, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) issued an announcement, agreeing to the joint reorganization of Wuhan Institute of Posts and Telecommunications and Institute of Telecommunications Science and Technology. In this reorganization, China Information and Communication Technology Group Co., Ltd. was newly established, and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) performed the investor's duties on behalf of the State Council. Wuhan Institute of Posts and Telecommunications was transferred to the new company free of charge and became its wholly-owned subsidiary, no longer performing the investor's duties of SAAC. China Xinke Group, headquartered in Wuhan, Hubei Province, is listed in the sequence of central enterprises.
20 18 On July 20th, the inaugural meeting of China Information and Communication Technology Group was held in Wuhan, Hubei. The State Council sasac director Xiao Yaqing, Hubei Provincial Party Secretary Jiang, Governor Wang Xiaodong and other leading comrades attended the inaugural meeting, witnessing an important moment in the development of China's information and communication industry.
In April, 2020, it was selected into the list of "Science and Technology Reform Demonstration Enterprises" of the State Council State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.
In May 2023, China Xinke Group released seven latest scientific and technological achievements, including C+L multi-band long-distance transmission system and submarine second-generation optical repeater. In the same month, the company's key laboratory realized the experiment of single-mode 19-core optical fiber transmission system, with a total transmission capacity of 4. 1Pbit/s and a net transmission capacity of 3.61pbit/s.
