What are lilacs like?

There are two kinds of lilacs, purple lilacs and white lilacs.

Generally speaking, lilac plants are 1 ~ 8 meters high, with opposite leaves, entire or sometimes divided, and few pinnately compound leaves. Flowers bisexual, terminal or lateral panicles. Colors are purple, lavender or blue-purple, but also white and blue-purple, with white and purple as the majority.

Produced in Northeast China, North China, Northwest China (except Xinjiang) and even Southwest China to Northwest Sichuan (Songpan and Nanping). Hillsides, jungles, canyons and streams, valleys and beaches, 300-2400 meters above sea level. Gardens north of the Yangtze River are widely planted.
