Legal basis: Article 2 of the Code for Standardized Construction of Police Stations: Main duties of police stations:
(1) Collecting, mastering and reporting intelligence information that affects social and political stability and public security stability;
(two) the actual population in the management area;
(three) the management of key industries, public places of entertainment and guns, ammunition, explosives, toxic and other dangerous goods within the jurisdiction;
(four) to guide and supervise the internal security work of organs, groups, enterprises and institutions within their respective jurisdictions;
(five) publicity, mobilization, organization and guidance of the masses to carry out security work;
(six) to handle criminal cases with obvious causality and simple cases within the jurisdiction, which generally do not require professional investigation methods and cross-county investigation, and to assist the investigation department in detecting other cases;
(seven) to handle public security cases and mediate public security disputes;
(eight) to participate in the prevention of public security disasters such as fire, traffic, explosion and poisoning;
(nine) to accept calls for help from the masses and provide services for the masses.
