This winter vacation, I participated in the school's rural practice activities and became a small farmer relying on local new stars. This activity aims to let us know about the life in the countryside and the hard work of farmers.
During the activity, we went to a beautiful village with beautiful scenery and fertile land. I was assigned to the home of the villager Xiaoming, who is a hardworking farmer. Xiao Ming gets up early every day and goes to the fields to cultivate and sow. I saw a small vegetable field and some fruit trees in their home. Xiao Ming told me that all this is the result of their family's efforts.
I learned farming techniques from Xiaoming. He taught me how to turn the soil with a hoe and grow rice and vegetables. Although my strength is very small, I worked hard with him and felt the hardship and patience of the farmers.
In this activity, I also learned a lot about rural living habits and traditional culture. Xiaoming's mother taught me to make jiaozi, and we made many delicious jiaozi together. Xiaoming's sister also took me to the farmland in the village. I saw golden ripe rice grains, as well as red tomatoes and cucumbers in Huang Cancan. I tasted fresh vegetables and fresh fruits, which were really delicious.
Through this activity, I deeply felt the hardships of farmers and their awe of nature. They created beautiful rural scenery and rich agricultural products with sweat and wisdom. I also understand that it is not easy for farmers. In order to provide us with food, they get up early to work every day.
As a first-grade pupil, I want to tell more people that farmers are the loveliest people in our lives. We should cherish their efforts and learn from their diligence and persistence. In the days to come, I will continue to pay attention to the lives of farmers and applaud their hard work!
