Help me explain.

Good words are not beautiful, and no one believes them.

"Advice" is faithful and reliable, and must be based on truth. The Taoist priest's words are simple and clear. His writing style is neither like poems and songs expressing emotions, nor like eight-part essays seeking fame. Words of empty beauty can also be passed down from generation to generation to make a name for themselves and invite pets to make profits, but they can't reveal human nature and save lives. Laozi's writing style is unpretentious, and there is no disease of "flattering" the world.

Good people don't argue, and debaters are not good.

The "goodness" here does not mean "benevolence" in a narrow sense, but goodness above Tao. The "theory" style of a wise man is to seek truth from facts thoroughly, and it must conform to the principle of "the road is simple and easy", and its purpose is to combine knowledge with practice in order to have practical results. Therefore, we will not engage in complex philosophy, nor will we play sophistry concept games to confuse people to win.
