1985, with the approval of the former Ministry of Aerospace Industry, the Weihai Campus of Harbin Institute of Technology was established, and in 2002 it was renamed as Weihai Campus of Harbin Institute of Technology (hereinafter referred to as Weihai Campus of Harbin Institute of Technology). The State Key Laboratory of Advanced Welding and Connecting has set up a sub-laboratory in Weihai Campus, the Key Laboratory of Marine Monitoring and Information Processing and the International Joint Research Center of Marine Engineering Materials and Deep Processing Technology have been approved as national scientific research platforms, and the new generation comprehensive experimental platform for sea, air and sky observation technology 20 17 has been approved as a national "double-first-class" construction project, becoming the first batch of "double-first-class" academic infrastructure construction projects of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
