Cheng Changgeng, the leader of Huiban, combines the strengths of Kunqu opera and Han tune, and created Peking Opera, a national quintessence art, which is known as the "originator of Peking Opera".
Anqing is the holy land of Zen in China. In the early years of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Buddhism was introduced into China. During the Tang and Song Dynasties, Zen became the mainstream of Buddhism in China. Influenced by Buddhism, Hui Ke, the second ancestor of Zen in China, went south alone and became a Buddhist, and his third ancestor participated in Zen and completed the theoretical system of Zen. Up to now, there are still many Buddhist sites in Anqing, such as Zu Er Zen Hall, Sanzu Temple and Yingjiang Temple.

Anqing is a famous historical and cultural city. The Spring and Autumn Period more than 2,000 years ago was the seat of the ancient State of Anhui (Anhui Province for short). During the Warring States period, in Chu; After Qin unified the six countries, it belonged to Jiujiang County; At the beginning of Han Dynasty, it belonged to Huainan State, and later to Lujiang County of Yangzhou. This is the beginning of Anqing City, which has a history of more than 780 years. Anqing has been the capital of Anhui province since the 25th year of Qing Qianlong (1760) to 1937. Guo Pu, a poet of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, once passed by and praised this place: "This place is suitable for the city", so Anqing is also called "Yicheng". Anqing has beautiful natural scenery. There are the majestic ancient Nanyue Mountain-Tianzhu Mountain, the unique island of the Yangtze River-Xiaogushan, the Penglai Mountain-Fushan on the sea, the ancient Great Wall of the South China-Baiyazhai, winding like a dragon-Dalongshan, the high mountain Pinghu-Huating Lake, the summer resort-Miaodao Mountain, and the emerald in the city-Great Lake. There are 1 national scenic spots, 5 national forest parks, 1 national geological park 1 national nature reserve, 6 provincial scenic spots and 5 key cultural relics protection units above the provincial level. It is the only excellent tourist city in China on the north bank of Wanjiang River in 800 miles.
