The School of Oriental Languages and Cultures of Xi 'an International Studies University was established in 2004, and now it has six languages: Korean (2004), Arabic (2005), Hindi (2005), Thai (2008), Turkish (20 12) and Persian (20 12). Over the years, according to the needs of national and local development, the college has strengthened the construction of teaching staff, established a perfect teaching echelon, trained a research team with strong scientific research strength, made certain achievements in different professional fields, achieved good scientific research results, trained a group of outstanding senior professionals, and made corresponding contributions to the social development of the country.

The college has a strong faculty, with 27 faculty members, 6 doctors and 0/5 masters/kloc. The proportion of teachers with master's degree or above is as high as 78%, among which 23% are doctors, 6 are associate professors, and 8 foreign experts and teachers are hired all the year round.
