Wuzhou is a prefecture-level city.
Wuzhou, located in the east of Guangxi, is the east gate of Guangxi, and the urban area is close to the junction of Guangdong and Guangxi. It now administers Wanxiu District, Dieshan District, Changzhou District, Cangwu County, tengxian and mengshan county, and manages Cenxi City, with an area of12,588 square kilometers and a population of 3,054,300, including an urban area of10,97 square kilometers and a population of 452,000.
Wuzhou is an ancient city with a long history of 2 100 years. In the last five years of the Han Dynasty (BC 183), Cangwu Wangcheng was established in South Vietnam. In the sixth year of Ding Yuan (1 1 1), Cangwu County was established (because there are many Erythrina trees in Wuzhou, also known as Cangwu Flower, the county was named after the flower name). In the fourth year of Tang Wude (AD 62 1), it was originally named Wuzhou. In the sixth year of Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty (1470), Ming Xianzong established the first governor's office in the history of China in Wuzhou, which governed Guangxi and Guangdong, and Wuzhou became the political and military center of Guangdong and Guangxi. Wuzhou was first named in 10 (192 1). Wuzhou municipal government was established in 1927, and Wuzhou is the earliest provincial city in Guangxi. In the early years of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, Guangxin County (under Cangwu County of Jiaozhou) was established in Wuzhou, now Fengkai County of Guangdong Province. Later, Guangxin was called Guangxi in the west and Guangdong in the east, hence the name Guangdong.
Wuzhou has obvious geographical advantages. Wuzhou is the closest city to Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in China's western development 12 provinces (cities), and it is the forefront area in Guangxi and even the southwest to accept the transfer of industry, technology and capital from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. Guangdong in the east, Yulin in the south, Guigang in the west and Hezhou and Guilin in the north. Jiang Xun and Gui Jiang meet in the urban area and become the Xijiang River. The intersection of the three rivers is clearly yellow and green, and it is called Yuanyang River. Wuzhou collects more than 85% of the water flow in Guangxi, and is known as the "water gateway of Guangxi", connecting Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. The waterway is 34 1km away from Guangzhou, 436km away from Hong Kong and 384km away from Macao. It is the closest port city in Guangxi to Hong Kong and Macao. Wuzhou Port is a national first-class port. Wuzhou Port has a hundred years of foreign trade history, complete facilities and good foundation, and has trade with more than 30 countries and regions on five continents/KLOC-0.
