The purpose of the Economic and Social Council of China is to play the role of research, consultation and service and support the country's reform, opening up and economic and social development. Internally, we are committed to uniting and uniting all sectors of the economy and society, studying and discussing major issues in the country's economy and society, putting forward suggestions and opinions, providing consultation and information, and serving the country's economic construction and coordinated social development; Externally, we are committed to promoting exchanges and cooperation with the Economic and Social Council, international associations of similar organizations and their member organizations, and international research institutions, publicizing China's economic and social policies, learning from foreign advanced experiences, and promoting broad dialogue among world economic and social partners, thus contributing to world economic and social development.
The Economic and Social Council of China holds the China Economic and Social Forum once a year. Its purpose is to invite famous people, experts and scholars at home and abroad to choose important economic and social topics that are needed at home and concerned by the international community, organize discussions, consult and make suggestions.
