Internship location: Lechang Paper Mill
Summary report:
* The internship period of last month is over. In these short months of internship, I have learned a lot of practical knowledge that I can't learn in class and benefited a lot. Now I will make a summary of my internship in these months.
First of all, introduce my internship company: Lechang Paper Mill. This factory is located on the banks of Wujiang River in Henan Town, Lechang City. It is a local state-owned enterprise and mainly produces toilet paper, corrugated paper and other products. The products are mainly sold to northern Guangdong, Hunan, southern Jiangxi and the Pearl River Delta, with an annual output of 60-7,000 tons and an output value of10 million yuan. The products of this factory have won many provincial and ministerial awards, which are favored by consumers and users.
During several months' work, I participated in the supply and marketing practice of this factory. Internship can be divided into two stages. In the first stage, the factory leader arranged for me to work in the supply room of the factory, mainly organizing the procurement of raw materials. Through this stage of work, I know the principle of general papermaking. Paper production is divided into two basic processes: pulp and paper making. Pulping is to dissociate plant fiber raw materials into natural pulp or bleached pulp by mechanical method, chemical method or a combination of the two. Papermaking is to combine pulp fibers suspended in water into sheets that meet various requirements through various processes. The raw materials I am responsible for purchasing are paper covers. Paper wrappers purchased from nearby towns are mechanically pounded into pulp in the workshop and cooked at high temperature to make toilet paper. Don't underestimate that this is simply buying paper, which is really learned. I used to sell paper covers, but now I want to buy paper covers or buy them in large quantities. Here, I will combine the knowledge I learned in school, such as commodity science, economic mathematics, statistics and accounting, with practice. For example, in order to reduce costs, raw materials must be purchased at a lower price, so it is necessary to understand and analyze the purchase price in the market, make records, take into account long-term contact with old customers, freight and other factors, and finally do a good job in inspection and warehousing. Some are experiences that textbooks can't learn, just like paying attention to the humidity of the paper cover when buying it. The heavier the paper cover with high humidity, the higher the price, and some paper cover businesses just profit a lot from it. Although I only practiced in the supply and marketing room for two weeks, I believe this has made a good start for my future work, especially the supply and marketing work!
In the second stage, I was assigned to work in the sales room. Contact the sales business for the factory and promote the main products of the factory: toilet paper and corrugated paper. Although my major is more suitable for sales promotion, it is not a good job. For me, who has no practical work experience and business contact, it is really difficult to promote a commodity. So there was really no way to start two days ago, so I had to follow my colleagues in the unit to find old customers who had business contacts to learn. Through a week's study and observation and the analysis of my old colleagues, I concluded that the corrugated paper in this factory is mainly sold to the Pearl River Delta region, and the market in northern Guangdong is really small, and I have short working hours, little experience and no extensive communication. Instead of selling corrugated paper and toilet paper, I might as well concentrate on selling toilet paper, which is also a big market in northern Guangdong.
Through hard work, I finally made two deals in the last week. Although a booth was sold to a relative's salesroom, business success was always gratifying. The other piece is the result of your own efforts, which is more worthy of pride. This enterprise is a retail store. I have done a lot of work for this business: memorizing information, market research, inquiring about the actual situation of the store, summarizing the reasons for previous failures and so on. Through these two weeks of sales practice, I deeply understand the importance of sales promotion, and engaging in sales promotion is a very hard work, not as simple as I imagined when I was studying. It also made me deeply realize that it is important to learn professional knowledge well in school, but it is more important to apply the learned knowledge flexibly to practice.
During the one-month internship, I had my own work card like a real employee, and I felt that I was no longer a student. I get up at 8 o'clock every day and then go to work like a real office worker. During the internship, I will abide by all the regulations of the factory and learn from experienced colleagues with an open mind. One month's internship let me know a lot of things I didn't know before, and I also got a deeper understanding of Lechang Paper Mill. Through understanding, I also found some problems in the factory: (1) The objective factors and subjective efforts affected by the market are not enough, and the product quality is not stable enough, which makes the sales work passive and directly affects the normal operation of the factory production; (2) The sales business management is not perfect, and sometimes the funds are not collected in time, which directly affects the normal operation of the factory; (3) The feedback of sales information is slow, and the work of developing new customers is not detailed enough.
Internship is a necessary experience for every college graduate. It enables us to understand the society in practice and learn a lot of knowledge that we can't learn in class. It also broadens our horizons and broadens our knowledge, laying a solid foundation for us to further move towards society in the future. Practice is an attempt to apply the theoretical knowledge we have learned to practice. I think, as a college student who is about to graduate, it is urgent to establish his own ten-year development plan, isn't it? I believe a widely circulated saying in Harvard:
Finally, I sincerely thank Lechang Paper Mill for providing me with internship opportunities!
