The campus covers an area of 1040 mu, with more than 400,000 ㎡ teaching buildings, student apartments, restaurants, gymnasiums, libraries, student activity centers, student service centers, quality development bases and other perfect teaching and living facilities. Anhui Water Conservancy and Hydropower Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1952, and its predecessor was "Huaihe Water Conservancy College" of the Ministry of Water Resources. In 2000, with the approval of the provincial people's government, Anhui Vocational and Technical College of Water Resources and Hydropower was formally established. College is one of 100 state-level and three state-level demonstration higher vocational colleges in the province. In 2004, it was rated as "excellent" in the evaluation of talent training level in national higher vocational colleges.
There are more than 700 faculty members, including nearly 200 professors, associate professors and senior engineers, more than 400 "double-qualified" teachers, and more than 300 young and middle-aged teachers have received doctoral and master's education.
