In 58 1 year, the Sui Dynasty was born, and Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty was the first emperor. After the founding of Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty, Qin Tianjian saw the phenomenon of geomantic omen and told Emperor Wendi that there was a place twenty miles southeast of Chang 'an-Daxingcheng was the Dragon Cave.
The southern plain here borders Chang 'an City, which means Daxing City is connected with Chang 'an City, which means "three rivers are controlled simultaneously, four blockades are solid, and land and water are connected". Topographically, Chang 'an is located in a hilly depression, with different topography on the east and west sides and slightly higher on the east side.
This is because the Qinling Mountains bend from southwest to northeast here, so there is a height difference in the marginal zone. Therefore, the flow directions of several rivers originating in Qinling Mountains have also been affected to varying degrees.
These rivers run through the southeast of Chang 'an and then enter the Weihe River. These rivers divide the whole Chang 'an District into several parts, and then into many rectangular areas, so Long Mai is diverted.
Therefore, near Chang 'an, only the land divided by the Chan River and the Hesui River is the most suitable, with a width of about 17 km from east to west and a length of about 40 km from north to south. In addition, it is divided by Long Mai, which makes the north and south sides of this land have relatively independent space. So this land became the best and only choice for Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty. After several discussions, Emperor Wendi of Sui decided to move the capital here.
