Characteristics of modern small farmers

The characteristics of modern small farmers are as follows:

First, the scale of land management is small and the problem of fragmentation is serious.

Second, the aging of rural labor force and the problem of "hollow villages" are widespread.

Third, the development of rural production factors is unbalanced.

Small farmer

Unlike large farmers, small farmers do not have dozens or hundreds of acres of land to cultivate. They only have a few acres or more of land. Usually we have worked hard for a year, but because of the state's control over food prices, the price can't go up. In addition, the current rapid price increase has minimized profits.

Although there are state subsidies, only the poor are left in the hands of farmers. I usually go out to buy some food and daily necessities, but I can't save any money after one year, which makes farmers feel really bitter. Minor illnesses will go to the village health center to buy some medicine to eat, or even some will not buy medicine to eat, and the first resistance will pass. Once seriously ill, many farmers will choose not to be hospitalized.

Just simply use drugs to fight or give up directly. The fundamental reason for this is that there is no money for treatment. Although the country has developed the new rural cooperative medical system, which has increased farmers' medical security, with the increase of expenses year by year, many farmers have a low education level and will only feel that it is useless to pay the money, which is equivalent to a waste and will not be paid over time.
