New energy vehicles are the main direction of global automobile industry transformation and upgrading. First, the market scale is leading the world. In the whole year, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 7.058 million and 6.887 million respectively, up by 96.9% and 93.4% year-on-year, ranking first in the world for eight consecutive years. The sales of new energy vehicles reached 25.6% of the total sales of new vehicles. This data is still very gratifying, and the development momentum of new energy vehicles is still very strong.
The second is an effective breakthrough in key technologies. The energy density of mass-produced power batteries reaches 300 WHr/kg, which is at the international leading level. The peak power density of the driving motor exceeds 4.8 kW/kg, and the highest speed reaches 1.6 million rpm. These indicators show that the level of our key components has been greatly improved. Especially in lidar, artificial intelligence chip, intelligent cockpit and other aspects, the technology has also made great breakthroughs and reached the international advanced level.
Third, the brand competitiveness has been greatly improved. In 2022, the domestic market share of self-owned brand new energy passenger cars reached 79.9%, up 5.4 percentage points year-on-year; 679,000 new energy vehicles were exported, up 1.2 times year-on-year. China occupies 3 seats in the global top enterprise groups of new energy vehicle sales 10, and 6 seats in the top enterprise groups of power battery installed capacity 10. Our competitiveness and brand effect are gradually emerging.
Fourth, the supporting facilities environment is increasingly optimized.
