Consider the potential needs of customers.
1997, the first set of logistics information management system based on internet was commissioned by a software company to help develop it. At that time, the Internet was just emerging in China, and the internal business departments of the company were used to tracking and managing customer orders by telephone, fax and notebook, so they did not put forward too many specific requirements in the demand analysis stage. Even then, IT departments needed to make an evaluation before each branch office to promote the use of e-mail.
Faced with this situation, our countermeasure is to think about the problem from the user's point of view, and through on-the-spot investigation of business operation process, we need to develop an order comprehensive query function with 28 query options to facilitate users' query; Considering the potential demand that the system will be open to external customers in the future, software companies are required to develop a query module for external customers to log on to the Internet through passwords to query their business information. As a result, after the system was developed, it was first recognized by Baogong Marketing Department, and then they strongly recommended Baogong's new information management model based on the Internet to customers, which won the recognition of many multinational companies that attached great importance to the system. After using the comprehensive query function, the business department immediately put forward more report query requirements, which is helpful for Baogong IT to digest independently and improve technology research and development.
Turn objective resistance into innovation opportunity
In the process of enterprise informatization, it is inevitable to encounter all kinds of problems, including those brought by external environment, which actually gave birth to new innovative business models.
For example, when Bao Gong promoted the Internet-based warehouse management system in 1999, he encountered the bottleneck of slow online entry and query of warehouse receipts in many cities in China due to insufficient network bandwidth, which Bao Gong could not control. We creatively developed an offline order processing program, which adopts the mode that the local terminal enters the warehouse receipt offline, manually imports and updates the database data from the mail of the operation point to the headquarters, then extracts the latest data mail from the database to the customer, and the operation point updates the user's local database. Although manual control is added, it is quite convenient for customers to check the latest warehousing data as of yesterday without surfing the Internet as long as they receive the latest business data packets and update the local computer database every day.
This mode is used by several customers of Bao Gong to inquire about the data in and out of the warehouse by themselves sitting in the office, so that some customers are used to this mode and don't want to resume online inquiry after the bandwidth problem is solved.
Integrated cooperation with customer supply chain
Starting from 200 1, Baogong IT began to cooperate with customers for system docking on the basis of fully digesting the original system. Simply put, system docking is to realize the automatic import and export of orders with the customer system through the data exchange platform and realize the paperless delivery of orders. But technically, successful docking is only the first step. What customers really need is long-term, stable, reliable and accurate system docking. For example, at 200 1, after a multinational household appliance company realized the system docking with Baogong, it put forward the assessment indicators of allowing only one data error per month and the timely entry rate of weekly orders at each operation point. In order to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of system data, we have developed a variety of auxiliary system monitoring programs, including developing an online monitoring program for order receiving and dispatching to realize online query of operating points when receiving and dispatching each order; Develop an early warning program for overdue order entry, and query the upcoming and overdue orders online; An automatic online bar code scanning monitoring program is developed, which effectively ensures the stability and accuracy of system docking with a complete system monitoring program and wins the trust of customers.
According to the actual needs of different customers, there are many modes of system cooperation with customers, such as docking with customer systems through FTP and E-Mail, or through a third-party public docking platform; Some customers want to use their own system completely, and it is no problem to open the terminal of their own system to the employees of Baoyong Office. There is also a customer who focuses on his own ERP system, but for the orders that the ERP system can't handle, Baogong IT has developed an auxiliary online order management system as a supplement.
Optimize the supply chain management process
The advanced stage of enterprise informatization is to optimize the supply chain management process by customizing the supply chain management system for customers. To do this, we should first investigate and analyze the existing business management mode of customers, especially the order management process, like enterprise management consultants, and put forward the optimization process based on information support. Our customized order management system supports the customer sales process and realizes the integration of supply chain and customer distribution management. Includes the following functions:
Comprehensive tracking of order status
Real-time inventory management
You can query the current inventory situation of Baogong warehouse in real time, and accurately understand the current actual inventory, distributable inventory, in-transit inventory, non-operating inventory and damaged inventory of a warehouse.
Auxiliary sales management
The system can provide timely data according to date, business unit, product type, product, distributor, sales type, order and demand. To provide necessary reference data for sales staff to formulate and adjust sales plans scientifically and reasonably.
dealer management
The system can provide real-time demand summary and demand details of any dealer within a certain time range. It can provide information required by dealers in a certain sales area. So that the customer headquarters can more effectively grasp the demand of the national distributors for goods.
For example, in 2004, we proposed to use Baogong's online order management system for a customer to replace the original manual order management mode of the customer, and merged the three types of documents originally issued by the customer (customer order, customer delivery note and supplier delivery note) into a systematic printed customer order, and the order entry, review, printing and confirmation were all completed in the system. It is realized that employees in customer offices enter orders in the system-customer headquarters reviews and confirms orders-Baogong office prints valid orders and operates them-operation results can be entered into the system-customers can check the latest order execution results and inventory results online at any time. Finally, form a supply chain integration partner with customers through the system.
The professional system is connected with the core system.
In 2003, Baogong independently developed a comprehensive order management system, replacing the old information system that has been used since 1997, and based on this, Baogong logistics information platform was built. In that year, we also cooperated with IBM to introduce foreign advanced WMS system for shelf warehouse management in logistics base, and independently realized the docking of this system with Baogong integrated order management system.
Baogong's third-party logistics information integration platform takes all logistics-related links (order management, transportation, warehousing, finance and basic data) as a whole, and carries out process reengineering and optimization: taking customers as the center, taking orders as the main line, and combing business processes.
Through the construction of Baogong's third-party logistics information integration platform, the core competitiveness of Baogong's logistics services has been further enhanced, and Baogong has formed a closer strategic alliance with customers and suppliers, realized a wider range of information sharing and saved costs, and created a win-win situation for Baogong, customers and suppliers in the logistics supply chain.
At present, Bao Gong is mainly engaged in distribution and third-party logistics in supply chain management. With the help of information chain, the integrated supply chain management of manufacturing enterprises, distributors, retailers and end users has been initially realized, which has brought many benefits to customers, such as reducing costs, shortening the order completion cycle, improving the on-time delivery rate, and improving the enterprise's contingency and response capabilities.
In the future, we will continue to take customers as the center and market demand as the guide, and extend informatization to production and procurement logistics, so as to realize comprehensive management of supply chain and provide more value-added information services for customers.
