Yixing Taoleyuan Art ceramics museum
Art ceramics (Mei Tao for short) belongs to the category of exhibition art ceramics and is one of the "five golden flowers" in Tao Dou, Yixing. Modern American pottery was developed in the 1970s, combining the production techniques of purple sand with the traditional glaze hue of pottery. Yixing Meitao is mainly small and medium-sized pieces. Its characteristics are: laying equal stress on display and practicality, realism and deformation, and using generalized, exaggerated and abstract modelling technique to form high-temperature glaze. In the process of firing, the melting, flowing and gathering of glaze are alternately carried out, resulting in the phenomenon of changing kiln. Make the glaze ever-changing, you can get a magical effect and aesthetic feeling that you can't get on canvas and drawing paper. This is the uniqueness of Yixing Mei Tao, which makes people sigh.
In the process of developing new products, Yixing not only inherits the essence of history, but also is good at exploring and innovating. It has successively developed tiger glaze, leopard glaze, snowflake glaze, feather glaze, Venus glaze, Qin glaze and matt glaze. Make the exquisite sculptures of ceramic animals and figures vivid and lively. In 1980s, Yixing fine arts and ceramics attracted professors from many well-known domestic fine arts institutions, such as Central Academy of Fine Arts, Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts and sichuan fine arts institute. At the same time, many professors and scholars from well-known art colleges came to participate in the creation of works, such as Zheng Ke, Zhou Xiaoding, Han Meilin, Zhang Shouzhi, Fu Wei 'an, Zhang Dedi, Shishi, Feng He, Zhao Ruiying and Wang Zejian. Relying on inheriting Yixing ceramic history, Tao Leyuan explored Mei Tao culture, gathered ceramic production elites, revitalized Mei Tao, and passed this "golden flower" from generation to generation.
