Geographical environment of Dahuangshan

Dahuangshan, located at the junction of Yongchang County and Shandan County in the west, with Qilian in the south and Longshou in the north, is the watershed between Shiyang River and Heihe River in Hexi Corridor. It is about 36 kilometers long from east to west, with an average width of 2 1 km from north to south and an area of about 765 square kilometers. The main peak, Moding (named after the flat top like a millstone, also called Mao Mao Top), is 3987 meters above sea level. Dahuangshan, famous for its rich rhubarb, also known as Rouge Mountain, is one of the famous mountains in Chinese history.

Here, love is green, pine forests are dense, mountains are magnificent, and strange stones are beautiful. Climbing high and overlooking, the mountains are hidden, the forest is pine and the blue waves are boundless; The ravines under the mountain are vertical and horizontal, and the clear stream is surging; In the hinterland of the forest canyon, wild animals such as roe deer and badger sheep haunt it; On both sides of the canyon, the mountains are high and steep, and the rocks are rugged. On the occasion of summer and autumn, Shandan flowers are everywhere, competing in full bloom and competing for beauty; At dawn, Xia Wei, Yun Qi, is foggy and full of weather, so it is called Little Huangshan Mountain.

Every year on the sixth day of the sixth lunar month, the Zhongshan Temple Fair is full of tourists, horses and chariots, and it is an extraordinary occasion. There are Shaanxi opera songs, snacks, specialties and information consultation, which integrate ancient and modern folk customs and gather friends from all corners of the country. It is a rare summer resort.
