Introduction of sodalite
The main distinguishing features of sodalite are dark blue, polycrystalline structure, low RI 1.48 and low SG2.28, which float in heavy liquid of 2 .65 and turn red under Charles filter. When you zoom in, you can see white material inside. The color of lapis lazuli is close to that of lapis lazuli. The main difference is that lapis lazuli is a combination of various minerals, in which pyrite particles and calcite are distributed in a star or block shape. Sodalite is a feldspar-like mineral, which is sodium aluminosilicate containing chloride.
