Training objectives: This major trains compound and innovative talents who have the basic knowledge of dance science and the ability to analyze and research dance theories, and can engage in teaching, research and editing of Chinese and foreign dance history, Chinese and foreign folk dance theories, dance aesthetics and dance education theories in cultural centers, primary and secondary schools, social dance groups, scientific research units and publishing, radio, film and television departments, so as to lay the foundation for further study.
