Main responsibilities:
1, formulate specific measures and measures to protect consumers' rights and interests; To undertake the supervision and management of commodity quality in the circulation field; Carry out consumer rights protection work in related service fields; Investigate and deal with counterfeiting and other illegal acts; Undertake to guide consumers to consult, appeal, report acceptance, processing and network system construction.
2. To undertake other tasks assigned by the General Administration.
Legal basis: Article 39 of the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on the Protection of Consumer Rights and Interests. Disputes between consumers and business operators on consumers' rights and interests can be resolved through the following channels:
(a) negotiated settlement with the operator;
(2) Requesting consumers' associations or other mediation organizations established according to law to mediate;
(three) to complain to the relevant administrative departments;
(four) according to the arbitration agreement reached with the operator, submit it to an arbitration institution for arbitration;
(5) bring a lawsuit to the people's court.
