The intermediate tank farm is responsible for the crude oil transportation of the whole plant, with a daily transportation capacity of over 50,000 tons. In many oil tanks, the temperature of the medium stored in each oil tank is different. The No.2 and No.6 tanks in the intermediate tank farm are slag tanks, and the operating temperature is 1 10℃ ~ 160℃. Storage tanks 1 1 and 12 are distillate storage tanks, and the working temperature is ≤90℃. Before the renovation, the tops of these tanks were not insulated. Due to the high temperature of the tank, the top of the tank is not insulated, and the temperature difference between the top of the tank and the tank wall is large, which is easy to cause cold condensation and dew point corrosion on the top of the tank and affect the safe operation of the tank.
In order to eliminate the hidden danger at the top of the tank and ensure the long-term safe operation of the storage tank, the oil transportation workshop convened three colleges of equipment, safety and technology to scientifically demonstrate four oil tanks storing high-temperature medium.
"1 1 and 12 distillate tanks have a top surface temperature of 65? The top surface temperature of slag tanks C, 2 and 6 is 95? C. If the surface temperature of the tank top drops to 50℃ after spraying the thermal insulation coating? C, "an equipment engineer put forward a good plan.
"Yes, the characteristics of thermal insulation coating on the top of the tank. Water-based thermal insulation coating is a new generation of thermal insulation materials, which combines the advantages of thermal insulation, heat preservation, radiation, reflection, anticorrosion and waterproof. It has the advantages of good thermal insulation, low thermal conductivity, radiation protection and light weight. " The equipment supervisor affirmed the feasibility of the scheme.
After on-site investigation, they agreed that adding thermal insulation coating on the top of the tank can reduce the heat dissipation on the top of the tank, which not only saves steam to maintain the temperature, reduces energy consumption, but also eliminates hidden dangers on the top of the tank. Therefore, on March 22nd, after the project was approved by the higher authorities, the workshop decided to add insulation to the top of four high-temperature tanks.
On May 22, under the supervision of various departments, the hidden dangers of the tank top were eliminated, and the hidden dangers of the tank top were successfully completed and put into use.
After a month's trial operation, the reconstructed high temperature medium storage tank was compared with the data before the reconstruction by collecting field data. The results show that the coating insulation not only reduces the temperature of the tank top, but also greatly reduces the dew point corrosion of the steel plate on the tank top. Adding insulation to the top of the tank can save 0.2t/h of low-pressure steam for each tank. If it runs for 8,000 hours a year, it can save steam 1.600t/ year, and four tanks can save electricity cost of 883,200 yuan/year.
"Adding insulation to the tank top can only reduce dew point corrosion of the tank top, eliminate hidden dangers, ensure the safe operation of the storage tank, and reduce steam and cost and consumption. Really kill two birds with one stone, awesome! " Workshop members gave thumbs up at the operation site.
