Brief introduction of Xuzhou metropolitan area

Xuzhou Metropolitan Area, also known as Xuzhou Urban Agglomeration, is centered on Xuzhou and spans four provinces of Sulu, Henan and Anhui, including Xuzhou, Lianyungang and Suqian in Jiangsu, as well as some cities in Anhui, Shandong and Henan, with a total population of 318800 and an area of 48,000 square kilometers. According to the Planning Outline of Xuzhou Metropolitan Area, Xuzhou Metropolitan Area will strengthen the function of Xuzhou as a central city and form a "point axis" spatial structure with the main urban area of Xuzhou as the core and along the axis of Longhai Line. Focus on building industrial clusters such as deep processing of products, logistics information, tourism, specialty and famous food manufacturing, textile, Chinese medicine development and manufacturing, information manufacturing, heavy chemical industry, steel, heavy machinery, modern service industry, etc., and become the primary economic growth pole in northern Jiangsu and an important area for implementing the regional development strategy of the whole province.
