2. Bertrand Arthur William Russell (1872—1970), a British philosopher, mathematician, logician, historian and writer, is the main founder of analytical philosophy and the advocate and organizer of the world peace movement. Russell 1950 won the Nobel Prize in Literature.
Russell was born in a noble family in Manmouth County. 1890 was admitted to Trinity College, Cambridge University and taught twice. 1908 was elected as a member of the royal society. /kloc-won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 0/950 and was awarded the British Jiaxing Medal. 1967 organized the Stockholm War Crimes Tribunal to condemn the US policy in Vietnam. 1970 died at home in Wales.
