Highway, with two national highways (207, 3 19) and six expressway (Changchang, Zhang Chang and Changji) running through, has started construction after the Erguang Expressway in the north-south direction (Erenhot-Guangzhou in Inner Mongolia) and the Hangrui Expressway in the east-west direction (Hangzhou-Ruili in Yunnan) in Changde.
Railway, which is crossed by Shichang Railway connecting Beijing-Guangzhou and Liu Zhi arteries, has a train freight station with an annual transportation capacity of10.2 million tons, and the planned Changsha-Yiyang-Changde intercity light rail will set up a station in Deshan;
