Applicants will participate in the national vocational qualification examination of "marriage and family counselor" organized by the vocational skill appraisal (guidance) center of the local labor department, and those who pass the examination will receive the national vocational qualification certificate of "marriage and family counselor". Secondary marriage and family counselor (with one of the following conditions):

3. Have a bachelor's degree certificate in related major, and have been engaged in this occupation for more than 3 years after obtaining the third-class vocational qualification certificate;
4. After obtaining a master's degree or above in related majors, he has been engaged in this occupation for more than 2 years.
Marriage and family counselor (with one of the following conditions):
1. Having been engaged in this occupation for more than 3 years after obtaining the secondary vocational qualification certificate of this occupation.
2. After obtaining the bachelor's degree certificate of relevant major, he has been engaged in this occupation or related occupations for more than 13 years;
3. Have a master's degree or doctor's degree certificate in related major, and have been engaged in this occupation or related occupation for more than 10 years. Note: Related majors refer to sociology, law, ethics, psychology, education, women's studies, sexual medicine, social work, ideological and political education, etc.

Marriage counseling is a process in which counselors help clients solve problems by providing and applying relevant knowledge. It can be roughly divided into four stages:
