What if my ID card doesn't show photos in the bank?

Recently, the reporter went to Bank of Ningbo for business. During the process, I was told that the bank's identity verification system only has the ID number, and there is no corresponding photo. The bank staff told the reporter that the absence of photos may be because the police station did not put the photos of the certificate online.

This is the second time that a reporter has encountered such a situation. Two months ago, the reporter went to the counter of Agricultural Bank of China to handle remittance business. Because of the large amount, he asked to show his identity card. There are also photos of ID cards that cannot be displayed, and other documents are required for verification.

The reporter learned that many citizens have encountered such a situation. Miss Gong, a citizen, has encountered this problem many times. She told reporters that when she went to China Construction Bank to deposit money, the bank staff reminded her that the photos on her ID card could not be displayed. "I thought it was because I took a new photo on my ID card and didn't make a final review."

Why can't the customer ID card be displayed on the banking system? In this regard, the reporter specially came to the urban household registration center of the Municipal Public Security Bureau for consultation. The staff of the ID card processing office told the reporter that they have received many similar feedbacks, some of which have only recently been processed for new ID cards, and some have been processed for many years, and all of them have encountered situations in which their photos cannot be displayed on some banking systems. The staff said that every citizen's information, including photos, will be uploaded through the system, which may be a problem with the networking of the banking system.

Then, if you can't show your ID photo, will it affect your normal banking business? Bank staff said that this situation will not affect the handling of small businesses, but it will be affected if citizens want to handle deposits and withdrawals of more than 50,000 yuan and remittances of more than 1 10,000 yuan. It is recommended to bring a driver's license, household registration book and other corresponding auxiliary documents. ■ Reporter Ye Yinkun
