Electric hammer: Electric hammer is an electric rotary hammer drill with safety clutch and power hammer mechanism.
Impact drill: impact drill works by rotation and impact. A single impact is very slight, but the impact frequency of more than 40,000 times per minute can generate sustained strength. Can be used for natural stone or concrete.
2. The principle is different.
Electric hammer: the principle of electric hammer is that the transmission mechanism drives the drill bit to rotate, and at the same time there is a reciprocating hammer movement perpendicular to the rotating head. The electric hammer drives the piston to compress the air in the cylinder through the transmission mechanism. The periodic change of air pressure in the cylinder drives the hammer in the cylinder to hit the top of the brick back and forth, just like we hit the brick with a hammer, hence the name electric hammer.
Impact drill: When the impact drill works, there is an adjustment knob at the drill chuck, and there are two adjustment methods: ordinary hand electric drill and impact drill. The impact drill uses the gears on the inner shaft to hit each other to achieve the impact effect, and the impact force is far less than that of the electric hammer. It is not suitable for drilling holes in reinforced concrete.
3. Different uses
Electric hammer: Electric hammer is a kind of electric drill, which is mainly used to drill holes in concrete, floor, brick wall and stone. Professional wall, concrete and stone drilling, as well as multifunctional electric hammers, can be used instead of ordinary electric drills and picks as long as they are adjusted to the right position and matched with the right drill bit. It has the advantages of high efficiency, large aperture and long drilling depth.
Impact drill: mainly used for impact drill of concrete floor, wall, brick, stone, wood board and multi-layer materials; In addition, it can drill and tap on wood, metal, ceramics and plastics, and is equipped with electronic speed regulation equipment, positive/negative rotation and other functions.
Matters needing attention in impact drilling:
Generally, impact drills cannot be used as electric drills:
1. Because the direction of impact drill is not easy to grasp when using, it is easy to cause misoperation and excessive reaming;
2. The drill bit is not sharp, resulting in irregular holes and burrs or cracks;
3. Even if there is a changeover switch on it, try not to use it for drilling. Unless a special bit is used to drill wood, it is easy to turn the hole black and the bit will generate heat, which will affect the service life of the bit.
