Zhongbei College of Nanjing Normal University was established in 1999, which was jointly organized by Nanjing Normal University, a century-old prestigious school, and the Education Development Foundation of Nanjing Normal University. It is one of the first independent colleges approved by the Ministry of Education and a public welfare institution approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Institution Registration Administration.
Nanjing Normal University, the organizer of the college, is a national "double-class" construction university and a high-level university construction university in Jiangsu Province. With the strong support of Jiangsu Provincial Education Department and Danyang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, the college moved to Danyang in 20 17. The address is located at No.8 Zhengde Road, Danyang City, with a total area of 900 mu and a planned construction area of 387,500 square meters. With complete infrastructure and excellent teaching and scientific research conditions, the campus is a modern intelligent campus, an ecological campus, a humanistic campus, a low-carbon campus and an open campus.
The college insists on specialty construction as the leading factor, improves the fit between talent training and industrial demand, and basically forms four major professional groups: language, management, engineering technology and art. The college currently has more than 9,400 students and 440 faculty members. There are eight secondary colleges, namely, Humanities College, Foreign Languages College, Business College, Law and Politics College, Information Engineering College, Engineering College, Art Design College and Music College.
